Our tour with Gee Soo yesterday was one of the best tours I've ever taken, and I wish I could give him more than five stars.
He came to our hotel to meet us and asked us a few questions to get to know us and our experience of Singapore and our expectations for the day, then explained his plans and made sure all six of us were on board.
We visited all of the places we'd requested (Little India and the Sri Veeramakaliamman (Kali) Temple, Gardens by the Bay, the National Orchard Garden, and the Merlion Statue); Gee added Marina Barrage, Raffles Hotel, and the City Gallery, plus stops for lunch (chicken rice) and coffee with kaya toast, all of which added to our appreciation of Singapore.
Along the way, Gee told us about the sights we were seeing, listened to and answered our questions, talked about life in Singapore, pointed out photo opportunities, took LOTS of photos of the group and of individual couples, and made the day special over and over.
I'd be remiss not to mention Bernie, our driver, who got us from place to place in comfort and safety (and added information when needed).
A few hours after the tour, Gee sent us the photos he'd taken and a recap of the day.
We all wanted to give him at least six stars, but the system won't let us!
Thanks, Gee and Bernie!

Our family only had one full day to tour Singapore. Fortunately for us, Gene was our private tour guide that day. He is one of the best guides we have ever had. He made sure that we saw all the sights that we were interested in and even made changes in the itinerary on the fly. We had a chance to taste several different types of foods along the way which we also enjoyed. His enthusiasm was infectious! We would highly recommend Gene to anyone who is looking for a fun and in-depth tour of Singapore.

This tour was an amazing way to experience Singapore in one day. We started at Marina Bay with beautiful views of Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion, then walked through the historic area past the Raffles statue and along the Singapore River to the Fullerton Hotel.
One of the highlights was stopping for a classic Singaporean breakfast with coffee, soft boiled eggs, kaya toast, and pork floss toast. It was such a fun and authentic local experience. Visiting Thian Hock Keng Temple was fascinating, and learning about the deities and local beliefs made it even more meaningful.
Exploring Chinatown, spotting murals, seeing the Sri Mariamman Temple, and learning about local food like chicken rice really brought Singapore’s culture to life. Driving through Little India, walking down Haji Lane in Kampong Glam, and noticing unique details like the glass bottles at Sultan Mosque were memorable moments.
We ended the tour at Gardens by the Bay with festive Christmas music and the stunning Supertrees. Our guide Pamela was fun, engaging, and super knowledgeable, and she made the entire day both informative and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Singapore.

This was a fantastic tour with our guide, Gene, and driver, Bernie. We started at the UDA to get an overview of the layout, history and evolution (past & future) of Singapore. We then visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and then saw the Sri Mariammen Hindu Temple in Chinatown in addition to visiting the Maxwell Hawker Center renowned for its chicken-fried rice. We visited Little India and also the Tekka Hawker Center before heading off to Park View - a magnificent Art Deco style office building completed in 2002 approx also featuring sculptures by Dali & Botero among others. We then finished the tour in Kampong Glam- the Arab Quarter with the Sultan Mosque, Haji Lane, Arab Street and milk tea. Gene was
very knowledgeable, personable and shared bits of his own mixed family history. This was our introduction to Singapore on our first day and It was perfect.

If I could rate this higher than a 10 -I would. Richard was an unbelievable tour guide around Singapore. He is truly amazing. He took us everywhere. We wanted to go to a lunch spot and he picked out the best spot! He couldn’t have been more helpful. I would highly recommend booking this tour with him.
Response from Host, Apr 2025

Gee was an amazing tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about the city and customized our tour based on what we wanted to see! Five star tour!
Mark_B, Jan 2025
If you have limited time in Singapore this is perfect - tailor it as you like. The best thing is the detailed explanations about what you are looking at - it’s more than just getting the photo trophy’s for social media - you will actually learn something and get a great appreciation for the culture. Su was fantastic ! Highly recommended for her knowledge, friendliness and organisational skills. You won’t find better.
Angela_N, Jan 2025
Even though it was a rainy day, Stephen our tour guide did an amazing job sharing all the sites we wanted to see in Singapore!! Great tour!

If your lucky to get Su Ling you will be very happy. She did an excellent job in the seven hours we had her and we got to see everything we asked for. Including a trip to Alexander Hospital and Fort Canning where my dad was stationed when I was born in Singapore. This was the reason for the visit to Singapore which is my Birthplace. Ask for Su Ling you won't regret it! Worth every penny! Ron and Carrol Lubich

What a wonderful day we spent on a full day private tour of Singapore with Gee Soo Boo. He was able to focus on a thorough understanding of this amazing country as we had a private driver with a very nice air conditioned van. Gee toured us to so many wonderful sites and gave us a thorough picture of how this young country has gone from a fishing village to a world class country in just a few decades. Gee was passionate and proud that Singapore and its government philosophy to nurture its number one resource - its people.
Robert_Y, Oct 2024
What an incredible tour! Pam (guide) was full of information and great with adapting to our schedule and appetites. We toured Marina Bay, National Gallery, Little India, Kampong Glam, Chinatown (best popiah ever), Gardens By The Bay - Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, light and audio show at Supertree Grove and then a great dinner at Lau Pa Sat. Pam was so good we just kept extending our tour. Highly recommend this tour.
Ronald_M, Jul 2024
This was one of our trip highlights.
Gee was our tour guide and was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and gave my family and my son in particular, a great history lesson on Singapore. We had his services for 5 hours, which was more than enough time. We started with a view of the city at the Marina Barrage, then went to Merlion park, Chinatown and the Buddhas tooth relic temple, Hawker stalls for lunch, little India and back home. We have a 4 year old and didn’t want to exhaust her too much, so the 5 hour excursion was perfect.
Gee was a friendly and wonderful guide. He entertained our children, took wonderful pictures of us. Next time we are in Singapore, I’d be happy to do another tour with him.
Response from Host, Jul 2024
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that Gee made your tour a highlight of your trip. It's great to know that the itinerary and duration worked well for your family. We look forward to welcoming you back to Singapore for another adventure with Gee Soo!
Dailyn_H, May 2024
Gee Soo was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Loved all the places and how the tour was customized to what we wanted to see. Driver Bernie was patient and accommodating. Would recommend this tour company to all our friends.
Nancy_P, May 2024
We had an awesome day with our tour guide Pam and driver Bernie.
Pam was professional and so personable. She made our day so much fun. Touring the colonial section and Chinatown, we learned so much about Singapore’s history. We ate lunch at the Hawker’s food court in Chinatown. Pam had us sample three dishes. So yummy.
We ended the day with a visit to see the waterfall at the airport. Spectacular! She also took photos of us at various locations and emailed them to us. I highly recommend booking this tour.
Gwendolyn_C, May 2024
We had an enjoyable day with Kwang our tour guide. He was prompt when meeting us at the cruise terminal. He was also very informative.
Alex_A, Apr 2024
Thanks to Pam who guided us through the main sites in Singapore for 4 hours tour. She helped take lots of pictures for us and quick email to share them with us digitally.
Just enough time for the kids not to get too tired
Nice clean airconditioned minibus
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hi Alex, Thank you fro the lovely review! we are glad to hear the kids enjoyed the tour as well! until next time!
Ja_G, Mar 2024
Thank you so so much for the amazing tour. Gee Soo was very knowledgeable and amazing with our request. Our request to know about the culture, history, and even how locals lived were all accomplished within the 8-hour tour. Gee Soo was really amazing and accommodating. He took us from the north (sembawang and kranji war memorial park) down to the south (all the famous cities up to passing by mt. Faber). His tandem with Uncle Bernie was so efficient.
Words cannot fully describe my family's appreciation to this tour group and our tour guide for fulfilling our wishlist. Because of our shared heritage, Gee Soo felt more like a local friend taking us on a customized tour. He also allowed us to see his nice home with a scenic view over Malaysia and even sent us off towards Sentosa boardwalk via Vivocity. Truly an amazing person with a broad range of skills.
Through this tour, we saw a deeper glimpse of Singapore that ordinary touristy tours will not provide. If I could give a higher score than 5 stars, I'd give double or even triple this score. It was really that good! The heat was a little difficult but the company made it worth it.
Once again, thank you so much Hello! Tours. This will not be our only visit back to Singapore. Lastly, to Gee Soo, all the best to you, your family, and career. Let's have that tea when we meet again!
Donna_R, Mar 2024

Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hi Donna, thank you for the lovely review! until next time.
Davis_M, Mar 2024
We traveled with Hello Singapore. They sent us the name of our guide so we could contact him with our desired itinerary. He never responded. When we arrived we had a new guide who we had not corresponded with and she had not planned any of our "ticketed timed events because she did not know what we wanted to do", We had to pay for all our ticketed events and stand in line, like Orchid Garden and Marina Sands sky park. We thought these tickets were included.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Dear Davis,
We are very sorry to hear that you are disappointed and that we were unable to pre-book tickets for you for the Orchid Gardens and Marina Sands Sky Park. You only notified us of your desire to visit these attractions at 9.30pm the night before the tour, unfortunately at such short notice it is simply not possible for us to pre-organise that for you. Please note that our office closes at 6pm. Very luckily this message appeared on one of our office staff’s mobile phone and she was able to respond to you and pass the information to your tour guide despite being way after the office hours.
For the benefit of other people reading this review who may be worried about our ability to book ticked attractions for tours please note we do send out a lot of information about the ticked attractions and how to book them in advance. Using your booking as an example this is the information that we provide: tour booking received on January 08, email sent to Barbara on January 09 including link to a document containing information on the available ticked attraction that can be added to the tour and a link to a page on our website where bookings can be made and paid for the ticked attractions. We also include a number of questions asking for tour preferences and what our clients would like to do on the tour. We also include the information (If you need to contact us directly before the tour please contact your tour guide directly, as the office processing time may take upto 24 hours until then please do reply by email so we have a record of your requirement).
Davis replied to us on March 02nd informing us about the arrival time but not informing us about any tour preferences, we then received a further email on March 04th confirming the arrival port and arrival time but not giving us any tour preferences yet. On March 11th a night before the tour we received a request to change the start time of the tour at 5pm, we contacted our tour guide and driver and did this and were able to arrange this change without charge. The original guide who was allocated to your tour had a family emergency and had to travel back to his hometown, his 84yr old father had taken a turn for the worse and he had to go back and help his aged mother to care for him, we updated you your new tour guide’s name and contact number, we have confirmed with Gee Soo, he did not receive any message from you the night before your tour with any tour preferences. When there is change in guide, they do forward guest msgs to new assigned guide. It is possible that you failed to put the country code at the start of the phone number when you send a text msg. 9.30pm at night after we had spoken to you about the changing your tour start time without any charge, we then receive a notification from you that you would like to visit the Skypark and the Orchid Garden, you did not follow the booking link and or make payment for these attractions, we did confirm with you that we have informed your tour guide Pamela that you would be able to visit that on the tour. We are very sorry if you thought that these attractions were free to enter, Skypark cost US$32 per adult and Orchid Garden cost US$15. You were able to pay this directly on the day from the counter. This is the first time that we that we have been told that anyone believed that these attractions in Singapore were free to visit and we will review our information about the ticked attractions and the prices for each of them and say if it can be made any clearer that these need to be booked and paid in advance. I have reviewed the information and I believe is very clearly written with regards to prices and also the booking process but we will try to make it even more clear so that nobody else has the same misunderstanding.
For anybody else reading this if you would like to book ticked attractions on your tour we do request you inform us at the time of making your booking, so we have ample of time to make bookings for you. For any follow up information please note if you tell us the night before the tour its simply not possible for us to make arrangements as such last minute. Minimum we would require two days notice.
Despite you being disappointed about having to queue up to visit the attractions that you wish to visit we understand you had a lovely day out with Pamela. I had a look at the photos and you all looked very happy on the tour itself. Hopefully, the inconvenience of having to queue up in line to purchase your tickets hasn't dampened the enjoyment you experienced during the day.
John_S, Mar 2024
Richard, our guide was excellent and well informed on Singapore. Being a private group of 3, we were able to compose our own interests with his suggestions. This is the best way to see the city.
Thomas_M, Mar 2024
Richard was great took time to understand what we wanted and put the trip to meet them, really enjoyed his local knowledge
Gordon_J, Feb 2024
Great guide. He knew all the flowers at the orchid garden. This was the tour highlight and was where we most wanted to go.
PatriciaHensiek, Jan 2024
Su Ling was an excellent, experienced guide to all we wanted to see and many places we didn’t know we wanted to see. She was absolutely accommodating to our every wish. She listened to our thoughts and made everything come together perfectly. We would never seen and experienced so much of Singapore without Su Ling. She was fun and very knowledgeable, and she answered all our questions about Singapore in general and specific areas in which we were interested. Highly, highly recommend Su Ling and Hello!Singapore. And we cannot forget Bernie, our driver who would appear out of nowhere to transport us to our next place of interest.
Shaini_V, Jan 2024
