Great

John_H, Mar 2026
We were on a tram at sunset. We saw plenty of the animals We then did the pangolin walk. That was great. Saw many nocturnal animals. The zoo is huge and needs the whole day to explore. Add the night tour to the end of your day.

Viator hires liars and fraudulent third parties

arjun_m, Dec 2025
The tour operator is a liar. We paid for an 8:15 times entry and he sent us the wrong tickets for 9:15 pm then we asked him in writing to confirm We can go earlier as that was too late. He confirmed several times and we have written proof of this. Then he lied more and was hostile and rude when he should have helped us we will never us Viator again be warned

Utter disgrace, what a scam!!

David_B, May 2025
This company do not guarantee the time slot that you book. They don't let you know the time they book for you until the day of the event. I booked a 7.15pm slot for a Night Safari ticket on their website at the time of paying. When the tickets arrived, they were for 9.45pm. As the ticket is only sent the day of the event, you cannot cancel for a refund as it's within 24 hrs of the event. What a scam!!

Fun Evening in Singapore

MaryKathleen_G, Apr 2025
We really enjoyed walking the trails and seeing so many animals up close and active at night. I don’t need to write any more than I want to write.

Unique and enjoyable!

Robin_N, Mar 2025
The experience is unique and well worth it. The ticket gives access to the trams, trails, and show. Excellent tour!

Beautiful walking trails...

Donald_M, Feb 2025
Beautiful walking trails at night, lovely animals set in a natural habitat, and worth the commute out of Singapore. Highly recommend

beware

Philipp_H, Feb 2025
BOOKED 7:15 PM but received a 9:45 PM slot instead without prior notification. I was not made aware until our arrival at 7:15 PM with two children. No one answered the phone.

Safari at night

SONAL_N, Jan 2025
I felt it was over hipped. It was a 15-20 mins drive through & animals you already see during your day time visit. I am not sure how walking trails & shows are as we didn’t do that. In my opinion if you didn’t do this you didn’t miss much.

Total experience lasted 25 minutes. Ridiculous!!!

Hillary_B, Oct 2024
Entire safari lasted 25 minutes. Total waste of time. Spent plenty for the taxi as well as the tickets. Best to check out the zoo by yourself during the day.

Nice environment for animals..but not enough time to enjoy seeing animals

Dallas_P, Sep 2024
Not enough time to take photos..stops not long enough. 😒 good that they contribute to conservation. Beautiful animals

Fantastic!

Sonia_G, Aug 2024
Great tram ride and supporting animals was so much fun. Saw so many chilling in the night. The lion and elephants were so impressive! Watched the show at the auditorium too and that was fantastic. Great way to spend an eve in singapore for a couple like us or for a family or group of friends.

Great experience!

Jeanette_R, Jun 2024
Being able to wonder and do it all was great as was the complete set up and use of the zoo. Highly recommend this experience.

Night time Safari

Robbie_L, May 2024
Very crowded….only saw two animals…totally not worth it. Paths were dark and poorly marked. Had to take a taxi both ways and it turned out to be too far to be worth the trouble.

Night safari experience

Diane_W, May 2024
The worst part of this-was our appointment time was 7:15 originally-and we did not get notice that our tickets had been moved to 9:15-(no internet)- then we get there and tram wait was 90 minutes-we ended up walking through-it was a miserable night

Disappointed

Janet_J, May 2024
They moved our time to 2 hours later at last minute. The line to get on the tram was over 2 hours! We walked it, but it was hard to see the animals. It’s very dark, no lightning and it’s so humid it’s slippery to walk. All in all we were very disappointed not worth the taxi ride and price

its good

robert_e, Apr 2024
its a brill place to go t night the staff are super the whole set up is verry clever and well executed the only thing that i didnt like is when we went on the trailers arround the park to look at the annimals the driver diddnt stop at a point he was almost past it so i came away with not a lot of photos it was a nice place to go but i would not do it again

Awesome experience

Joanna_D, Apr 2024
Unique experience, feels like roaming through the jungle and observing the animals in their natural environment

Night Safari

Jane_M, Apr 2024
Trip was quite good. We enjoyed the train ride but the darker it became the harder it was to see the animals.

Nice evening

colin_m, Apr 2024
Easy to locate via MRT & shuttle bus. The zoo made for a good family evening on the tram and walking around.

Awesome

David_C, Apr 2024
The tram was really good and the show was amazing. Take water and bug spray. Wear cool clothing as was very warm

Great

nicky_r, Mar 2024
Excellent a must do ..brilliant tour on the trolly bus Loads animals Easy to find Great night with friend

7/10

Clare_g, Mar 2024
Things to know - It’s 30 mins out of the city in a cab You need bug spray You need to follow a map in the dark on your phone In summary worth a look if you’ve plenty of time, yes we did get to see plenty of animals and the little bus through the park was good but trying to find your way around the park on foot at night was a little challenging and I’m sure we missed lots as we couldn’t see it!

Book the latest slot

Anna_K, Feb 2024
It was a disappointment. We booked the 20.15 slot. We had to be there 45’ earlier 19:30). Until 20:00 even from the 19:15 slot were coming !!! We weren’t allowed to enter earlier than 20:00. Then we had to wait 50’ in order to get the tram for a 40’ fast ride. I would recommend to book the latest slot so you can avoid crowds and little children

Glad to experience it but somewhat disappointing

Lois_J, Feb 2024
It was just what we expected. Having been on real safaris it was simply ok. Wish the driver could stop for a brief moment at each area. Disappointing that the tour doesn’t provide for that.

Was unable to go to the...

LEOL_K, Feb 2024
Was unable to go to the Safari. Terrible problems at the cruise terminal with going thru immigration. Singapore really needs to get this straightened out.

Not Worth the Money

Caroline_H, Jan 2024
The Tram Ride wa nice Bit we did. Not stop at the Elefants and the buffalos to take a picture, because Surfing Night Time you will Not get Good Shorts while the Train is in move. Then we Tool several Trails to See more animals, Sonde were very cute. But I think it‘s Not worth the Money you have to Pay!

Lions by night

Gill_G, Jan 2024
Good to see the big animals in the cooler night air. Long queues were well organised, as were the arrangements for the tram. However, from the details given when we booked, we got the impression (maybe our misunderstanding) that we would see night animals and that we could get off at certain points and walk Our ticket was for 7.15 and we were on the bus back to the hotel at 8.

Nightime Animal Observation

DavidW_T, Jan 2024
The tram ride is a good survey of the zoo. We had tapirs walking alongside our tram. The trails are great because they give you closer access to the animals with more time to view them. We saw the feeding of the wolves and the feeding of the lions.

Excellent - Must do in Singapore

Sashikala_D, Jan 2024
I booked the tickets the same I wanted to go, and i received the tickets immediately. Entry was automatic by scanning the ticket from the phone and it was seamless. I expected a wilderness experience, but it was more like a disney land experience, but still wonderful. Saw lot of smaller animals, like binturong, fennec fox, slow lori, fishing cat, owls, all of them very cute and unusual. Of course couple of them were shy and coulnt see them, but thats to be expected. This is not a circus.. Kudos to singapore govt. for making a different sort of experience, and contributing to the conservation effort. Tram ride was great. One suggestion I would give to the zoo keepers are to warn people not to be loud. Put some signs to be quiet. We had a few families with young children on the tram and they were so noisy, we could not hear anything on the speaker. Must go from my perspective.

Don't buy from Tripadvisor/Viator: they never sent me the tickets, but charged my credit card

Cassandra_C, Dec 2023
Can't tell about the safari itself. But warning you about buying from Viator/Tripadvisor. After I booked the tickets on viator.com for the safari of 7:15 pm, I got an email from Viator saying that I'd receive another email with the tickets on the day of the tour. But they also warned me that before I go to the safari, I should download/print the tickets while I have access to internet. I assumed this meant they knew of cases where foreigners would not have internet and would not be able to download the tickets when they arrive to the safari site. I took that advice to heart. So, on the day of the night safari, I kept checking my email while in the hotel, to no avail. On that same day, we had a 48-hour pass for the hop-on/hop-off Big Red Bus which was expiring that afternoon and we wanted to go on the bus. But that meant we wouldn't have internet. Finally, at 2:36pm local time, I used someone's US phone (which was roaming) and called Viator's line (which was not toll-free from Singapore). The number is (888)651-9785. I explained to the rep that we needed to go out and had still not received the tickets. Call lasted 9 minutes, and right after that I asked the person to take a screenshot of the phone for me so I had evidence of the call. e (Pic is attached). The Viator rep I spoke to said they would get in touch with their local tour operator who would send me the tickets. We waited about 40 minutes and then we left the hotel around 3:15pm, and they still hadn't emailed me the tickets. After that, we had no way of knowing if they ever sent the tickets. So, later that evening, instead of going to the night safari, since we didn't have the tickets, we simply went to the Gardens by the Bay and watched the light show (it used to be free, but now they make you pay because the show has a Christmas theme). Then we walked around and went to the Marina Bay Sands hotel. Believe it or not, Viator emailed the tickets a full 2.5 hour after I called them ; remember I called them at 2:36 pm Singapore time. Of course, we only saw that email when we returned to the hotel in the evening. Pic of my phone screen when we got back to the hotel and had internet is also attached. I have all the records. I wasted my morning waiting for the tickets, and lost valuable time from our 48-hour pass for the hop-on hop-off Big Red Bus, which pass was expiring at 5:00 pm that day. So, we lost about 6 hours we could have been on the hop-on hop-off bus and touring the city of Singapore. I have all the records.
