Our guide Moses gave us an in-depth understanding of the island from its inception to the present time. He brought it all to life. Plus he had a great sense of humor and truly took care of all our needs. We swam , we ate, we visited the tribal cultural village which was wonderful. I would say it was one of the best tours we’ve taken in a long time…Thank you Moses❤️

Our tour guide Moses was awesome! He drove us all over the island imparting information about Vauautu. The cultual village was super interesting and entertaing with firewaling and music. It was nice to float in the Blue Lagoon watching people rope swing into the water. Our fresly caught red snapper lunch was sooo yummy. We did a little swimming at Survivor beach and found a blue starfish. The hot springs were full of storm debris, so we skipped that stop and opted out of the kava stop. Be aware if taking this tour, that the roads can be very bumpy. Thanks for a great tour!

This was a great tour. Our meeting instructions were clear and it was easy to find Yumi tours once we disembarked the tender boat. We visited the local village for an explanation of some of their customs and activities - all things they are trying to keep alive in the modern age. Then the wonderful blue lagoon where we swam
In beautiful clear cool waters. Then it was the hot springs where we dangled our feet in one of the several pools of really quite hot water. Lunch was at a lovely spot overlooking the ocean where we enjoyed our fish and chips and cold drinks. Finally, we visited the coffee factory and Kava house and back to the ship with plenty of time. A really interesting and fun itinerary. Our guide, Alfred was excellent. He told us so much about the country and the way of life there. I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone visiting on a cruise ship.

Unfortunately our cruise wasn’t able to make this port due to bad weather so we had to cancel at the last minute (a couple of hours prior). Yumi replied to us immediately and gave us a full refund. Great communication, thank you.

We totally endorse and highly recommend this tour! We circled the island and had great fun in the Blue Lagoon. Seeing the fire walking and music and native dancing in the village was amazing and very informative. The locals were friendly and so welcoming. What made the tour extra special was our incredible guide Alfred who taught us many things in his great narration along the way. Such a variety! The village, swimming in Blue Lagoon, soaking in the hot spring, a great lunch at Top Rock with its beautiful vistas. And then experiencing drinking Kava was a perfect ending to the day. Hats off to this great company and staff! Just book it! You won’t be disappointed!

A fantastic day trip around the island with a wide range of activities if you are there for a short time only. This tour was particularly appealing for me because it did not include duty-free shopping. Moses was our guide and he entertained us with jokes, shared local tips and the history and culture of Vanuatu. We were unsure if the Cultural Village was open on the day of our tour but luckily they were open. The view at Top Rock was fantasic as we stopped there for lunch. My only comment was that it would have been good to disclose if the cultural village (or another site) was closed on specific days rather than finding out on the day itself to avoid disappointment. The Kava experience was also brief and it would have been nice to watch the process of making it.
Overall, still a very enjoyable day and I would recommend it if you want to see the island.

We had a fantastic day with Katrina and Sam. The island is lush and beautiful. The locations were very entertaining and spectacular. The lunch at Top Rock was brilliant. We really enjoyed the trip.

It was a disappointing day. First, the Custom Village was closed on Sunday — something that should have been mentioned on the website or after booking, not only when we were already in the car. The tour itself felt more like a transfer between spots than an immersive experience. At the coffee factory we got a 5-minute explanation and then spent an hour in a café (not even the best one) at our own expense. Lunch was basic — fries, plain rice, bananas, and meat, nothing traditional or unique. The Kava experience was very brief, and we didn’t actually learn anything about it. I really wanted to love this tour, get some memorable experience and dive into the culture and enjoy local dishes and history.
Port Vila is beautiful and the people are very friendly, but it’s probably better to just rent a car, save some money on this tour and explore island at your own pace.

Moses our tour guide was very professional with a great sense of humor. We went to a cultural village that was very interesting. Went to the Blue lagoon that was beautiful. Lunch was in a magical place with a great view. What I mostly liked about this tour was the fact that the places we visited were all owned and operated by the local communities. We stopped at the hot springs and mud baths, went to the coffee makers. Unfortunately the kava shop was closed and we opted not to stop at the markets as we were worn out. Moses was quite flexible and was quite happy to answer all of our questions.

We had a great day on this tour! It's the best way to see Éfaté. We enjoyed everything we did and Philip was a very knowledgable guide. It was great being in a small group and it felt like we got so much out of the trip and could ask specific questions. Philip also knew everyone so it felt like a very personal tour. Tough to pick a highlight as there was so many! Must say that the view for lunch was possibly one of the best ever. You will not regret this tour!

I was short on time and this tour seem good to get a wholesome experience of Vanuatu in a day. It lived upto my expectations. I was picked up on time. My guide was friendly and accommodating. We had enough time at the sites we went to. Cultural experience was really cool to start the day and and all those scenic sites afterwards driving around in the island, Lunch was delicious, Kava was worth it! I highly recommend taking this tour.

Hot springs and mud bath was the best. It was quiet there, only us, and the lady was lovely n helpful.
The blue lagoon was lovely but too many people, too noisy n crowded. The lunch place wasn't ready for us, so there was a hold up there. And then the rest of the day was rushed to get the cruise passengers back on time. Tip: find out if a cruise ship is in town before booking a tour!

This is a fantastic tour made even better by our tour guide Phillip.
It is a great way to see the island of Efate in one day, whilst actively doing activities listed from cultural tour, spend time at the blue lagoon before going to the mud baths and hot springs and so on.
Would recommend to anyone.

I have been to 137 different countries and this was one of the best tours ever. Philip was a fantastic guide and driver. He took us to places most tourists would never get a chance to visit. Only 3 of us in the group which meant we didn't have to queue anywhere or wait for late comers, which is the norm on ship's tours.
We visited Blue Lagoon, Cultural Village, Mud Baths, coffee factory, Survivor Beach, kava tasting and lunch in a very small local restaurant with amazing views. Despite torrential rain most of the day, it was an amazing experience and great value for money.

Every thing was fantastic. We would not have seen any of the sites on an bus tour. Philip was the best tour guide ever. Would do this again in a heart beat. From the mud baths, blue lagoon, cultural indigenous locals, survivor beach, coffee and kava .Lunch on the cliffs. We give it a 10+. Phillip, thanks for the bucket list adventures. I am sure I forgot to mention few other stops Yumi tours and viator could not have possibly done any better.

Waited outside my hotel for over an hour and a half waiting to be picked up . Called the tour operator multiple times with no answer . I messaged the tour operator for them to tell me I needed a minimum of two people to book which was not what was said during the booking .

Had you seen our message this whole ordeal could have been easily avoided. Also, we've processed a FULL refund to your booking so basically you didn't loose any money at all and your review is here painting a totally different message.

On paper this day tour read well. It offered 7 different activities that appealed to our group of 3 but on the day only 1 activity came close to matching their "what to expect" written description. The first hour at the Cultural centre was very enjoyable. The next stop was at the Blue Lagoon where we were to spend an hour however on arrival, our tour guide informed us that we only had 15 minutes to enjoy this location.
The 3 stop was at Sara Beach for lunch. Lunch was not ready and we wasted an hour before it was delivered. Even though we arrived first, other tour buses come and went in that time while we were still sitting around waiting for our meal. The next stop was at Nasinu Hot Springs - a stop the tour guide had never been before and one we all wished we had driven straight past. To say that the entire operation did not meet even the minimum of health requirements would be an understatement. The surface of the hot springs were covered in a frothy mess of scum and the mud bathes were more grit than mud and were far from providing any "natural healing" qualities. We were then meant to have 30 minutes at a lookout on Kiems Hill that never eventuated, nor did the trip to Survivor Beach, nor did the 1 hour stop at the Tanna Coffee Factory.- all of which we were driven past at 80kms per hour. We were then taken to a Duty Free shop in downtown Vila (NOT on the itinerary) and then, on the way back to the cruise port we stopped for 5 minutes at a Kava Bar where a small Chinese patterned melamine bowl was filled with kava from a white plastic bucket. At no time did our tour leader tell us anything on the tour unless we asked. She did not engage at all with us on the endless bus trip and the driver disregarded all speed signs making the journey very uncomfortable for us all. EACH of us paid hundreds of Australian dollars for this tour and at the end of the day we all felt hugely ripped off by all the false advertising and undelivered promises.

Hello Diane and thanks for the thorough review. With the limited time for cruise ships on the island (considering the last tender was at 3pm, correct me if I’m wrong) we had to make the most of our time as we had a late start as well (9.30am instead of 8.30am). We will review our tour guide’s performance and necessary measures will be taken to avoid future disappointments. As to the Survivor Beach we have amended our itinerary post covid removing it as a stop since they are not fully operational as of yet.
We appreciate you raising issues regarding all the other stops as this will assist us to inform the site owners about improvements that needs to be done.
