A driver, not a guide

We gave the tour a 4 because the driver was very nice. I had an issue with my eye and he took us to a clinic, which was very helpful. He took us to all the places except the botanical gardens because it was closed due to road construction. We would have liked to learn about the temples we went to, but he was a driver and not a guide. Penang hill had a very long wait time, so we paid extra at the ticket counter for the express line.

It was great to learn more about the city, visit temples and best part was Penang Hill. My tour was from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Enough time to see the sites if it’s your first time.

Joseph Panf was the best tour guide that we have on this trip. He was very knowledgeable and leaned a ton of the Penang history and culture. The Asam Laksa was out of this world and so delicious. We had two bowls each!! We were lucky to have him as our private tour👍👍🙌

We had a very dedicated guie, Cheam, who really could tell us about the history of the town, and the history of the buildings and almost everything else. The visit at the mansion was very interesting, beacuse we had so much information. We made good relations with our guide, and had a wonderfull and long day, almost 9 hours. The waiting time at Penang Hills is not good. Please find a better way there and find another place in the city to get the same view. E.g. at the Kek Lok Si temple.

Our guide/driver Eng Seong was fabulous. He took us to great sites; was very knowledgeable about history; was very conversant in English; had a great sense of humor. He was perfect! He made this tour extra special for us. We particularly liked that He stayed with us all the way. No other guide has done that.. Everything was perfect. We only wish all our tours could have been this good

No Penang for You!

We received an email the night before the tour that the tour operator overbooked and cancelled our spots on the tour. The booking still showed active in the app so it was confusing. I had to call viator customer service to initiate a refund. We were lucky to book an excursion at the last minute from our cruise ship.

More like a driver than tour guide

My tour guide drove us to the scenes and bought tickets as advertised. But he gave little introduction to the visited scenes. He left us at the gates of most scenes.

Penang Express Tour

We were a group of 5 above-50 years old ladies so we wanted an easy tour. This tour was perfect for us since the pace was not too fast and we were able to see the major sites in the city in one day. Our tour guide, Muhammad Firdauz, was really fun and very informative. He was very nice and considerate and would always ask us if the activity was ok with us. I highly recommend this tour (and Firdauz) for people who want an express view of Penang.

Vendu pour 8 hrs le tour dure à peine 5 hrs, dont 4 arrêts " shopping". Le chauffeur reste à chaque arrêt dans le véhicule, ce n'est donc pas un guide. A kek lok si le chauffeur se gare au sommet , donc on ne visite n'y les temples et pagodes du site qui sont en contre bas. J'y suis retourné par moi même le lendemain.
