Great day exploring Kpalime

I booked this as a solo traveller as it was the only one offering to book for 1 person, but it was easily the best decision! My day started with Robert arriving at my hotel saving me from a drunk man who was talking my ear off. So already off to a good start. The drive to Kpalime was so easy because I had the best driver in all of Togo. He was so safe, and stuck to the basic road rules, but also made sure the large amount of potholes were avoided and would apologise if he accidentally hit one! Absolute legend. A couple of tips from a fairly fit 36 year old bloke: - I opted to hike up Mt Agou, and it started as an easy winding hike through forest but ended as a straight up the side of the mountain stair climb. Not for the faint of heart. - Getting to see and swim in the waterfall is worth it but it’s also 335 stairs - I counted! - As you’re driving down the rough dirt road to get to the waterfall, you might think it’s not worth it. But hang in there, it is!!

This was a great trip. I really enjoyed the mountain climb, although the humidity and heat got the better of me about half way up. The trip to the market was perfect for picking up some local handicrafts and the swim by the waterfall was a great way to finish the day. Seli and Jules were great hosts and went out of their way to make the trip excellent

L'expérience pour moi seule, une fille, avec les guides Olivier et William a été plus que satisfaisante. Je me suis sentie absolument en sécurité et au calme pour pouvoir me détendre et profiter des paysages et des différentes étapes prévues tout au long de la journée. On peut être un peu fatigué mais il faut bien faire quelque chose pour mériter un dernier plongeon dans la cascade :D. Ils m'ont récupéré et m'ont laissé à l'endroit que j'avais demandé. J'étais très à l'aise dans la voiture et il n'y a aucun problème avec les petits arrêts pour prendre de la nourriture, des boissons ou quoi que ce soit d'autre. Pour ceux qui veulent partir à l'aventure, je recommande les gars de l'agence Miabétour <3 :)

Merci à Olivier pour cette très belle journée ! L'accompagnateur/guide de Miabétour est très sympa, à l'écoute et permet d'en apprendre beaucoup sur le Togo. J'ai vu de très beaux passages de Lomé aux montagnes de Kpalimé, en passant par la cascade de Wome et le château Viale ( qui j'espère va être rénové) !!
