Pat was very informative, we learned so much about the history of Kilkenny. We were dead tired from our overnight flight in, but Pat kept us moving and gave us a great perspective! Also, he’s pretty well known about town- it’s clear he’s a well liked guy!
Great bit of history told by stories with a theatrical flair. Pat was very interesting and told the tale of the town with personal touches. We very much enjoyed our tour.

Pat bestowed on us so much historical detail and depth of knowledge of Kilkenny over the many centuries of change and influence. You will see the city in a whole different way. If you like detailed history, this tour will be very entertaining for you. However, this is not for children. There is a lot of standing. Wear good shoes. Bring water. The itinerary was changed from what is advertised. Don’t be surprised if he goes long. He is very animated and he will act his way through parts of history.

This is a fantastic journey through the city explaining about the history of Kilkenny. This is actual history through stories and not regurgitated dates. Pat is very knowledgeable and answers any questions you may have. His tour shows you the hidden history from coat of arms on building to what the slips were used for. We had a great time and we highly recommend this for any visitor to Kilkenny.

Quite a bit of standing in one place for a long time. Could have included a spot to sit. 90 minute schedule turned into 110. We didn’t want to be rude so we stayed on. All in all it was great fun.

A great impressive Story about the Medieval history of Kilkenny. Pat knows his facts, has a nice way of telling them. My history teacher couldn't have don it better. Pat has sold his hearth to the town of Kilkenny. You have to be patienced and interested in such long entertaining stories, but then you have a great tour.
