Unprofessional Crew and is this even Africa Joy?

It was clear as soon as I got the the mountain that this was not the best tour operator. First of all, they showed up to my hotel 30 mins late and didn’t bother to tell me they would be late. I had to contact them. We then get to the park, check in, and I am just waiting there. The same company had a day tour that got there 20 mins after me and started 30 minutes before. The owner looked confused and asked why I was standing there. I said the guide told me to wait there. Within 5 mins he seemed to find the guide and we started. The food was fine along the way. I found it very strange how every other tour guide did a Blood Oxygen check every night but mine never bothered. I talked to another guide and he said that he thought it was very strange. The huts and hike it self are beautiful. After we started to go down the mountain the lead guide started to be 200-300ish yards behind me. Who knows what he was doing but definitely not being the guide. After we finished I told them I needed money for tip so we stopped at an ATM. I tipped out more than the suggested amount and still 2 of the members of the crew complained. Talk about unprofessional! I always stunned. Also, another bizarre thing was when I looked at my receipt with the national park it says my tour operator was a complaint called Uprise Africa Tours. The site here says Africa Joy. Very concerning consuming let’s say a family member needed to contact me. I’m assuming the park would say there is no Africa Joy on the park. Another random thing was they got caught speeding to and from the park! When I get back and complain to Viator they really didn’t seem to care. I would never come back and use this company or Viator anymore.

Hello John Greetings from Africa Joy Tours operating in Tanzania and east Africa. Also thank you very much for your recommendations as it makes us to improve in our services as when organizing these tours we always expect the inconvenience like these. First of all we are really sorry for any inconvenience that you experience but in things like being late at the hotel for 30m was not our fault as you witnessed yourself now in Tanzania is a rainy season and most of our roads are blocked down by water, not only you almost all the tourist who were trekking the mountain that day were late due to that situation you arrived at Mandara hut earlier than any other tourist on that day. Normally at the gate the registration issues has to take place so spending sometimes there is the normal thing because you cannot start trekking without those registrations Thank you very much for the complements of the food and the beautifully of the huts we had in the park. About the guide I thought we solved it via what sup and you responded positively. The guide explained to you about the two people, that in the crew there are some of the people who did extra work that is the waiter who was serving you food and also the summit porter who accompanied you during the summit night and he told you it was your wish to give them you add 20 Tanzania shillings which is almost 10USD for both of them. About the tipping you said you give more than you expected then the distribution via our conversation about the tipping was like below Hello John, I hope you are doing well one more thing i just want to make it clear for you is about the tipping policy, you will be having the crew of 6 people 1 guide 1 cook 4 porters who will be carrying some of your stuffs, food and the other equipment's. The distribution of tipping them will as follows Guide - 20 - 25 per day Cook - 15 - 20 per day Porter - 10 - 12 per day This is just the break down of the normal tipping policy for Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Looking forward to hearing from you and get your opinions. Almost the tip you pay was 450$ when we convert into USD as you tip them via Tanzanian Shilling, review the tipping policy above which you accepted compared to what you give to them.
