Exceptional river cruise for wildlife sightings, humour & commentary by the guide & a peaceful sunset vibe! Saw lots of crocs, birds & water buffalo plus gorgeous landscapes! Highly recommend !
Yellow water is a fantastic wetland where there’s plenty of wildlife that you want to see, backed up with experienced guides. Worth the money and the drive.
Nice small group and it wasn't too hot, saw lots of birds and crocs, beautiful scenery. Recommended.

Great tour to go on while your there, Lovely staff, well organised, tour guide was brilliant on the water.
Lovely cruise at sunrise with views across the wetlands. Boat stopped as wildlife was spotted, including crocs and many varieties of birds.
Great guide very knowledgeable, funny, and welcoming. Great tour lots of bird life and crocodiles to be seen as well as learning heaps about the land the indigenous and the wildlife there. Very worth it
Dennis the tour guide has a great sense of humour made the tour cruise educational and funny . I learned a-lot about the animals and birds that live in the Yellow Water river system
We really enjoyed this cruise. From our greeting by a lovely young girl to Zoe who was our guide/boat driver we were very impressed with the professionalism of the experience.
We were very fortunate to watch a Croc and Buffalo having a stand off.
Highly recommend this experience.

We took the first tour to avoid the heat it was still hot in the sun but very manageable
The tour guide Gecko was knowledgeable and you could feel his genuine interest for the environment
A must do experience, it was a highlight of our visit to Kakadu. Unlike various hikes etc; this is something that you cannot do without a guide and it is absolutely worth it. We saw so much wildlife, the guide was knowledgeable and interesting and we all had a great time.
Definitely worth the trip out to Kakadu, even though most falls are closed. Highly recommend the 430pm slot for sunset!
The Yellow water cruise was a spectacular experience, seeing local wildlife in its natural surroundings and habitats was an unforgettable privilege. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, calm and passionate about what was obviously, a very special place.

Only giving this 3 stars due to the lack of compassion from Yellow Water Cruises when a family member required emergency surgery so was no longer able to attend. I contacted Yellow Water Cruises 3 weeks in advance to explain the situation, (all the other people on my booking were still coming) and I received a very blunt email stating the booking was non-refundable. Thats fine, I knew what I booked I was just hoping for a bit of compassion. Only mentioning it so others are aware that it is non-refundable under ANY circumstances.
Anyway, if I could give a separate rating for our experience and our guide I would give 5 stars.
The cruise was brilliant, our guide Jessie-James was very knowledgeable and his dry humour was entertaining. Jessie-James was very respectful of Indigenous culture and he ensured everyone on the boat had the opportunity to see everything. He lined up an absolute cracker sunset for us, it was like Kakadu wrapped up in one sweet snapshot - buffalo in the distance, jabiru, egrets, ducks and lots of other birds frolicking in the water in front of us and right on cue as the sun fell below the horizon in swam a crocodile- we couldn't believe our luck!
I'm glad we did the cruise but very disappointed the Yellow Water Cruises couldn't be a little more accommodating with our situation, we had a medical certificate
We went on the sunset cruise and what a wonderful experience. The driver was very knowledgeable, informative and very patient. My only suggestion ( and I get this is not really viable) is that maybe an adult only boat, and to have a short time where you can be silent and just listen to the sounds of nature. We had a FABULOUS time thank you so much.
This experience was a highlight of our Kakadu stay.
Our guide was very knowledgeable of the land, the wildlife and the culture and shared it in a believable and humorous style.
The boat was comfortable and easy to take our pics from. The bus trip too and from the destination was also comfortable and clean.
The sunset was beautiful and there was plenty of time to sit and watch the day end over the marsh land of Kakadu.
Choose a clearer day. The smoke from the burn off did affect the clarity of vision but the whole experience was magical. The tour guide was deeply involved and the whole two hours was emotionally moving. Thankyou.

Definitely worthwhile. Our tour guide was very informative both with respect to indigenous culture and connection to Country & also the fauna and wildlife. Dennis was an excellent communicator with a dry sense of humour. The scenery and wildlife were spectacular & topped off with an equally spectacular sunset. The boat was sufficiently comfortable with plenty of vantage points. The whole tour was efficiently run.
How can you not enjoy an experience like the Yellow water cruise. The waterways are magical, filled with birdlife, estuarine crocodiles and history. The guide was very knowledgeable; the boat was comfy enough the scenery was a great sensory reset. Tip if travelling with kids..... pack snacks, lots of snacks! 2 hours goes fast for adults immersed in the experience, however, for children, especially younger children, 2 hours is hard when hungry, tired and "bored".
This was a great experience. Our tour guide Dennis was brilliant. It was like being part of a David Attenborough Our Planet episode. It was great to see a variety of Australian wildlife including crocs and everything well explained (and funny).

It is well worth the costs. Tour guides are very informative. Take snacks and a drink it enhances the experience. Cold water and toilets on board.

Topping our experience were the two crocodiles were sparring and sizing each other up - amazing sight!!!

What a wonderful experience. We so enjoyed our sunset cruise and our captain was not only a wealth of knowledge on the area and indigenous culture but had a great sense of humour.
We saw many birds and beasts and cruising back as the sun set listening to the sounds of nature was a truly magical experience. We were lucky to go after the big wet season rains so everything was so lush.
Highly recommend this tour.
