Wonderful Safari and a great guide. Rufus was excellent in terms of professionalism, knowledge and making us feel comfortable with a perfect pinch of humour. The Tour organisers are very helpful and responsive. Avoids big crowds and we felt as if it was a private tour. Highly recommended.

Edward was wonderful. Worked really hard to make sure I saw everything I possibly could. Also very knowledgeable. I enjoyed learning about the aninals I didn’t know of before.

The guide was not really talkative or informative. When passing other guides on the tour they had books with information on the different animals but he did not offer much of anything. If my family and I did not inquire about different things we would have never known. He was quiet throughout and sped thru the park and on the way to pick us up from our hotel. We did see a lot of animals but it was not a thorough explanation. It was okay just wish we had a different guide. His name was Derrick.

The element of rush back to your hotel was because of a request by yourselves to return by 12h30 as you had an afternoon scheduled other appointment.
The books on animals you refer to is not a standard issue on any safari trip. Those books are available for purchase at any Park shops. Definitely not an standard issue.

Oh, my, what a great day. Harry gave us a big day of all manner of animals in all kinds of settings. He really elevated the experience with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Experience matters and he knew the lay of the land in the park. Our favorite, late in the day, was the watering hole chock full of rhinos and assorted other animals.
A hearty recommendation of this experience and of Harry, the guide.

We had an unforgettable day with Keegan. He is an amazing guide. He knows so much about the animals. Since he was a little boy he loves to watch animals and you will find hardly anybody who knows so much about this area. He is so enthusiastic about the wildlife and he is in fantastic contact with his colleagues, so whenever they spotted something, a few minutes later we were there as well. We can only highly recommend spending the day with him.

This was my first safari and I cannot rave enough. Gerrie was punctual and ready to go before the sun came up. He asked what my top priorities were and worked hard to give me the best day possible. The highlight of the day was seeing a full pride of lions, including 7 cubs. Gerrie knows the park inside and out and is so passionate about what he does, making the day unforgettable. I didn’t ask a single question that he didn’t know the answer to. I highly recommend this company and Gerrie for a great day of animal spotting!

Kruger National Park is a world wonder and this brings out the best of it. My guide, Gerrie was awesome, explaining and giving history as we went to the remotest parts of the park. This is absolutely top level!

Perfection in the KNP. Gerrie is very relevant in the discussion of best guide and guy in the park. We asked for the impossible and he made it possible. Not just a friendly guide but a true friend. The irrepressible enthusiasm he has is the only infectious thing you will encounter. His shared knowledge extends beyond predicting wildlife behaviors to foretrekker historical facts. To top it off, the digital images he shares from your shared experience will rival even a professionals photogs best shots. So many elephants they eventually are irrelephant. He successfully stalked all the cats for us. Rhinos at no charge as our safari vehicle let them pass right in front of us. Gerrie has a point of view like a giraffe, he sees all from years of seeing it all. Your money and more importantly your time will be richly rewarded spending it on safari with Kruger Gateway Safaris. Be warned you will likely not return to camp on time as he never stops until you’re dropped back at your start. Mahalo and Aloha from Alaska, Gerrie my friend.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Gerrie was a fantastic guide and made the trip even more memorable with his knowledge, insights, and photographer skills. Gerrie brought us to every animal we wanted to see and allowed us ample time to take pictures and enjoy the moments. Even better was the fact he took photos for us during the day and sent them afterwards. Additionally, we were provided with plenty of water, ponchos for rain, and a blanket if we got cold.
If we were staying longer we would book this private tour each day. I highly recommend this experience!

This was an amazing experience. Saw a huge variety of animals, Informative, nothing was too much trouble and importantly, fun. I’ve done several safaris and this was right up there as the best and that was largely down to our fabulous guide…..who also happens to be a great photographer!
