This was the best tour I have taken on Rapa Nui. Traditional songs, astronomy, archaeology… all of it was amazing. You must take this tour.

Of all the tours I booked on Easter Island, this tour was my favorite. I’m so glad I stayed awake to do the astronomy tour— we could see the Milky Way staring back at us in a way I’ve never witnessed before! Toke was an excellent guide and provided some great history on how the Rapa Nui people utilized the stars and nature to navigate the seas before clearly and patiently pointing out constellations for us to see and setting up a powerful telescope for us to look through. It was incredible to see Jupiter and 4 of its bright moons staring back at us!
We were also taken to Anakena beach, where we got the most spectacular view of the Maoi (I think Ahu Nau Nau) with the stars behind and Toke took our picture with his camera! He also gave us more history of the island and its people by singing us native songs— it was truly a beautiful and personal touch to such a special evening.

Tokerau is a very passionate guide. He has excellent knowledge of the stars and planets which he combines with storytelling about the first settlers. He has a great voice and his songs very moving.. Supper under the stars was a nice touch and the photo session at Anakena beach with Moai and the Milky Way in the background a fabulous end to this fantastic trip.

They canceled our tour just hours before, and we traveled to Easter Island only 24 hours for that tour, and it was neither raining nor cloudy at that time
