The Zangbeto Dance and Cultural Tour was such an amazing experience and one of the highlights of our trip. We were able to see and experience so much throughout the day, including the Door of No Return, local markets, and several other cultural sites along the way.
Our guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about sharing the history and culture with us. We learned so much during the tour and truly appreciated the time and care he put into the experience. We also stopped at a great restaurant during the day, and both the food and service were amazing.
The highlight for us was definitely the Zangbeto dance itself. It was such a powerful and unforgettable experience, and everyone there made us feel incredibly welcomed. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Benin!

Met our guide at the craft market. He was waiting there before we came. He was distinctly dressed like in a toga. Found out that he is son of king of Dassa and that is how he should dress. He was very knowledgeable about Ouidah. Appears that he is living there now. He managed our activity and time very well. Zangbeto dance was voodoo magic. Something very different and puzzling. Ouidah was an experience that is out of the ordinary - the voodoo ritual, the pythons, the community in Aido. Experiences we came to Africa for. Very highly recommended activities, tour guide who spoke English very well and very knowledgeable and driver who was very skilled and got us safely to our destinations and back to port on time.
