This is an excellent tour of the Pantanal and Bonito for people who only have a few days to spend in the area. All activities and meals at the lodge in the Pantanal are included and the guides are all very good.

I have just came back from my Brazil Trip (October 23-Nov 9) and I have just done the 6- Day Pantanal and Bonito Experience. We had a delays in our flights so we only got there the night on the actual tour which was the 23rd and the travel to Pantanal was on the 24th. So basically we lost 1.5 Day of our tour. The Pantanal experience was alright. We have done a lot of activities during our stay in Jungle Lodge like Night Boat Safari, Horse Back Riding, Morning Safari, Canoeing, Hiking and Piranha Fishing. The food was alright. The staff in the Pantanal side of the experience was amazing and friendly. The Bonito experience however was a different story! We got to our apartment expecting a good hotel and we end up in a very run down hostel where it smells like a very smelly toilet! Having arrived just 5 minutes into the accommodation, the owner of the hostel was already hassling us about the tours. When we told him that it's already included in the tour, he said only the 1 night accommodation is included in the package. NO TOUR WAS ACTUALLY INCLUDED in the BONITO EXPERIENCE. It was really misleading. So he sat down with us, and from there we already smelled his ALCOHOL BREATH. We were inquiring about the tours. I was interested in 2 attractions while my friend was only attracted to doing 1. She asked if she can be excluded in the other tour and explained it to him 5 times that she will be doing only 1 tour. The guy already booked us in the 2 tours wherein we were supposed to pay them 400 Reals right there and then. She then said that she would rather not go on a tour instead because she was still upset with what we paid and having NO BONITO TOURS INCLUDED with the price we have paid. The owner (Alexandre) was still pushy for us to take the tours and transport. My friend then decided not to opt for any tours. The guy went AGGRESSIVE towards her and said " That's it! I won't butter you up anymore!" and he stormed off. We went to find a different tour agency and got a cheaper TOUR + TRANSPORTATION Package with a different hostel where we were given enough time to decide.
We asked other people who we went to the tour with they said they paid 3600 BRL with exactly what we had in Pantanal. But when we converted it we found out that we had paid 9000 BRL. They didn't do the Bonito experience, but does that mean that the whole Bonito experience was 5400 BRL?! We defintely demand a PARTIAL REFUND.
