My second ring workshop with the talented - and patient - Annie in Canterbury! A terrific teacher. This time I brought my husband along so that he could make a ring for himself. Each step of the process is clearly explained and demonstrated by Annie and then we used each technique at the next stage in making our own rings - the result is that the completed rings are made by ourselves. The gallery in Canterbury where the workshops are held is delightful - and coffee too! My husband said as we left "I can't believe that the scrappy piece of metal I started with this morning is now a shiny ring I'm wearing home". We'll certainly be booking another workshop with Annie.

The place was easy to find and close to a multi story car park, Annie was welcoming, talked us through everything with perfect patience and encouragement, the gallery is beautiful and the other staff friendly, really nice comfortable workshop, absolutely loved the experience, would definitely do this again!

A thoroughly enjoyable and well-planned class in a beautiful, ancient building in the heart of Canterbury. The class was delivered by Annie – an extremely competent and patient teacher. Starting with choosing the design for my ring, Annie explained the use of the tools and then carefully demonstrated each step of the process on ‘her’ ring which I then replicated on ‘my’ ring. This method of teaching ensured that I really felt I had made my own silver ring, to wear home. I was thrilled with the result – and the ring has been much admired. Seeing a dull band of silver metal become a shiny, glinting ring in just a few hours in my own hands was an amazing experience.

I had a fabulous morning. Annie was very friendly & immediately made you feel at ease. It is your decision what you make & she gives you choices through out the process so that you can make a ring that is special to you. Im left handed but it didn't cause a problem, I had to move on to her work bench for one of the processes but it wasn't any bother for Annie. I never knew there were so many stages to creating a piece of silver jewellery and now I know how much manual work goes into each piece I understand the price. I thoughly enjoyed my time at Annie's work and have been showing off my creation ever since. I would definitely recommend the workshop to anyone. Great idea to give as a gift or book for a treat for yourself. Also have commissioned Annie to make something for me as I was impressed with her work.

We absolutely loved this workshop. Annie is fantastic. She gave really easy instructions to follow and had such a kind, gently manner; an absolute please to work with.
We made our wedding rings during our time with Annie, a memory neither of us will ever forget 😍 if we lived closer, I'd probably end up with an entirely new jewellery collection!
The workshop was relaxed and informative and we'd do it again in a heartbeat ♥️

I was visiting the UK on a school trip and had an extended weekend, and on a whim chose to spend it in Canterbury. I only had one thing booked before I arrived to my hotel and it was this Silver Ring Workshop. When I say that this made my trip, I truly mean it. The owner was extremely kind, courteous, helpful, and fun. She walks you through every step of this 2-3 hour workshop in a way that isn’t demeaning like some workshops I’ve been to. Instead, she happily walks you through every step and teaches you why those steps are important and even lets you take your time through the experience. She kindly listened to my ramblings while we were waiting for the ring to be cleaned, and offered me refreshments throughout the process. I never imagined that creating my own ring could have been this fulfilling, educating, and of course: fun. If you have to do anything in Canterbury, it’s this!

What a great idea for an activity in Canterbury! My wife and I never really liked our wedding rings, so we decided that these would be our new wedding rings since we were able to make them together. Annie was very patient and took as much time as we needed to make them just how we wanted and to understand each step in the process and why it was necessary. It was well worth the cost for this special experience.
