Good guide but poor coordination with operator and sub standard vehicle

Sir/Madam, Our experience using your guide service was less than satisfactory. To start with, we were quite surprised to find that the tour was to be in French only when the information provided said English tour and French option. Our assumption was that the tour guide could speak in either. This was quite a concern as it meant my wife (who does speak French) would have to continually translate for me. Fortunately, your guide, Ana Laura, did speak a fair amount of English although it was quite challenging. Secondly, the car brought was not very comfortable for a 3 hour trip on a very bumpy, gravel road. Most cars on the road were SUV or pickups which had suspension meant for this type of road. This was the drivers 1st time on this route. He was pleasant enough but, for what is charged, there should be a better vehicle provided. Finally, we were charged an additional $50 to pick us up and drop us off when it turned out the guide lived 5 minutes from our hotel and this was right on her way. Quite a ripoff. We do have to acknowledge how pleasant and accommodating your guide was. She certainly knows the area and worked hard to speak in English as much as possible.

Hola Jim, agradecemos tu tiempo para dejarnos la reseña. Cumplimos con nuestro compromiso de contactar con Viator, con el objetivo de solucionar este inconveniente con el idioma. Nos refirieron desde el área técnica de la plataforma que el producto esta cargado correctamente, que fue comprado en la opción en francés, dentro de las diferentes alternativas de idioma que ofrece el sitio, por lo que entiendo pudo haber habido un error en la compra. De hecho tenemos vigentes otras reservas donde los clientes han escogido idioma y ante esta inquietud nos hemos contactado con ellos y nos confirmaron que han hecho la confirmación correcta. Con respecto al cobro adicional que manifiesta no fue cobrado por imposición. Se les ofreció salir desde nuestro punto de partida habitual y se les dio la alternativa de ir a buscarlos y devolverlos en el hotel con el costo coherente de movilizar el vehículo hasta allí, siendo que la excursión es hacia otro punto cardinal (que el guía viva cerca del hotel no es relevante). "Esto está todo aclarado en la descripción del producto, para ser leído en el momento de hacer la compra". El vehículo proporcionado para nuestras excursiones es un vehículo de alta gama, casi cero kilometro y nuestros conductores recorren la zona desde hace mucho tiempo. Esperamos volver a tenerlos por aquí, cumplir con sus expectativas siempre y cuando nos aclaren de antemano las preferencias para su viaje.
