The tour guide was very knowledgeable. However, the bus was very small and uncomfortable. I was the second-to-last person picked up from my hotel, so I ended up in a seat in the last row where I could barely see out the window. Since the whole trip was about the scenery, I didn’t get to see much at all. The price was also much higher than what other local travel agencies offered with their big, comfortable buses.

This tour requires a lot of driving at very low speeds. The 7 Lakes route to San Martin de Los Andes goes through wild country and makes a few stops to take photos. The guide and driver were prepared and punctual. The views are pretty, but the drive was a bit too long.

Heads up. I booked and paid for the English speaking tour only to be told the day before the tour only the Spanish speaking tour was available. I agreed as long as I was refunded the difference in the price. Still waiting for the refund! I wasn't the only person on the bus in this situation. Nice views but couldn't understand the commentary.

Positive - Hugo (guide) and Gerardo (driver). Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, clearly proud and passionate about Argentina and the Bariloche/7 Lakes area. Areas to improve. Essentially, it becomes a long drive to San Martin and then return to Bariloche. A few occasional stops for toilet and photo ops. Sadly, they stop at areas that aren't even that beautiful which is a shame as we drove past some stunning scenery. And, of course, the stops are the same as all other tours and buses so long queues for toilets and taking pics (with everyone else in your pics!) Two hours in San Martin which is neither pretty not interesting is a bit of a waste. Hire a car or private driver - then you'll see the proper beauty rather than just whizz past everything in a bus.

This trip is nice and offers great views and the guide was really nice and knowledgeable. But here's the rub: you're basically in the bus for the whole day except for the 2 hours at San Martín DLA, stopping just to take pictures. So if you're the hiking type (or just not the sit-all-day type) I suggest you rent a car and drive there yourself.

My main problem was the price. When booking, it was €50 more expensive to select an English speaking tour, which I paid, but the tour was actually done in both Spanish and English. So the people on the tour who had selected Spanish paid €50 less for the exact same tour. Seems like a tourist rip off to me. Otherwise the tour was fine, but it was overpriced and I’d select a different operator next time who doesn’t overcharge tourists.

The guide and driver were very nice, the lakes were beautiful. I wish we had the optiopn of being dropped off at the city centre. Having lunch by the bay was over an hour and the city centre was 5 blocks away . No time to do both. I would have skipped lunch to see the Town and shops.

1) the mini bus was extremly uncomfortable, not properly suited for a long journey. The great interest of the tour is the trip itself. In a mini bus, the bus is the 90% of the view. 2) the tour should be a guided by a professional in tourism, with knowledge in geography, history, fauna & flora. 3) we traveled all the way to San Martín de Los Andes, and once we arrived the guide basically gaslighted us into having lunch at the restaurant of his own interest, and failed to mention there was a whole Village full of shops to visit, and a whole lot of other restaurants. 4) On the way back we were suposed to pass by Pasó the Cordoba a semi desertic área between the mountains but instead we took the same road we did on our way there The Guided tour was a shame It wasn’t worth it.

Sadly we would not recommend this tour to anyone. We booked (and paid MORE money) for an English guide on this tour. The evening before at 8pm we were sent a message to tell us they wouldn’t be able to do it in English and gave us an option to cancel or do it in Spanish (we can’t speak Spanish which is why we paid more for the English one). Firstly we weren’t impressed we were only told that late the evening before! But it was our last day there so we really didn’t want to miss the views! So we went ahead in Spanish. We are very upset and not impressed that they ignored all of our emails and attempts to contact them since the tour! And lastly they will not refund us the extra money we paid them to have a tour in English … which they did not even provide for us!! Very sad badly run company!
