- Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of booking, subject to availability
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Minimum age is 7 years and 4’1” tall or 125 cm (passengers must be able to see over the basket).
- Minimum drinking age is 18 years
- The take-off site changes with the wind and is decided by the pilot in command on the day of the flight.
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Most travelers can participate
- Any Passenger in excess of 125 kg / 280 pounds, or any passenger who requires the space in the basket for 2 passengers, will be required to book the extra space at the time of booking and pay a 100% surcharge of the ticket price. Failure to provide accurate information in advance could lead to the refusal of flight at the launch site, whereby no refund will be offered.
- Ballooning does not usually affect those people who are scared of heights. Because the balloon travels with the wind, the basket is very stable and does not sway or rock during flight. There is no sense of vertigo or motion.
- For safety reason, any known medical condition which may affect your ability to fly or assist the crew must be disclosed to Balloons over Bagan at the time of booking and to the pilot on the day of the flight, i.e. epilepsy, recent surgery etc. Some conditions may preclude you from eligibility to fly. Pregnant women will not be permitted to fly. Balloons over Bagan will not accept liability for illness or injury due to any undisclosed condition or failure to comply with any reasonable instruction given by the pilot or crew or company representative.

My friend & I toured Yangon, Bagan, Inle Lake & Mandalay and two of the most memorable parts of our Myanmar trip was our balloon rides in Bagan and Inle lake. Ballooning is a peaceful & beautiful way to see the amazing sites around both regions. Moses, our captain in Bagan was personable and very knowledgeable about the area. Shaun who was our captain in Inle was also very fun and knowledgeable and we go to experience a touch & go boat landing on the lake which was a thrill! You will not regret ballooning over Bagan & Inle! Thank you!!!

Very good experience was a little disappointed about the heights we were flying. Thought I would be able to see the temples and pagodas better. When flying on top of the village I could see and experience it nicely

As hot air balloon flights are largely dependent on weather conditions, they drift with the wind during the journey, while the pilot maintains the safest altitude along the flight path. Because of this, the flight path and altitude may vary slightly from one flight to another, and occasional differences can occur.

It was such an incredible, one of a kind experience! Flying in a hot air balloon is amazing, but doing it in Bagan above the thousands of pagodas bring the experience to a whole new level

Incredible journey, very well organized and excellent communication about pick up and drop off. The ballon ride over the temples of Bagan is spectacular and our pilot Andy was great in sharing his knowledge of the area in a kind way. The entire crew are so pleasant. I highly recommend this excursion with Ballon’s over Bagan.

Fantastic experience! Everything was very well organized from pick up to food, to safety instructions, photos, toilets - no detail was left unattended. And captain Gavin and his crew were just great. It was an amazing way to see all of bagan. Will highly recommend!

Wow! This was an amazing adventure. It was my first time in a balloon, but Balloons Over Bagan did not disappoint. This company had been strongly recommended to me above the growing competition of ballon companies in Bagan and I'm glad I listened to the advice. The staff were great and our pilot was a wonderful guide to this experience. If you are going to Bagan, you can't miss this!

Overall Balloon ride was a very interesting experience, from boarding to landing. I am scared of heights but I was so much in awe of the way the balloon softly took off and landed, and the professionalism of the pilot was superb. However, the 'champagne breakfast' was disappointing. Not at all what I expected. Yes, the champagne was good, but for the price of $350 per person, I would expect white tablecloths and chairs to complete the experience.

Rather expensive but well worth it.
Extremely well organised with experienced Belgium pilot, Christophe, so felt in completely safe hands.
We were fortunate that conditions on the day allowed a long flight 1.5 hrsover the main temple region at a maximum altitude of 1100ft. However, customers should be aware that weather/wind conditions can affect the flight time and direction.
The experience finished with champagne and croissants and a chance to chat with the pilot before being taken back to our hotel in the vintage bus.
