After meeting your knowledgeable guide in front of the Duomo, Milan's immense and extravagant Gothic cathedral, learn about the history of the church, taking some time to study the facade of the sacred structure, including the statues and wicked gargoyles.
Head toward the entrance to the cathedral, going right past that long line and entering the building, thanks to the skip-the-line ticket. Stroll through the interior with your guide, learning about the overlooked nooks and corners of the building and hearing about some of the incredible artwork that's inside. Admire the 50 incredible stained glass windows, as well as the sculptures and paintings.
After, come up to ground level again and exit the church. If you've chosen this tour on the weekend, take some free time to see more of Milan on your own or tuck into a nice meal at a local restaurant. Or, if you've taken this on a weekday, commence the rooftop tour immediately.
Go back inside the cathedral with your skip-the-line ticket and then ride in the lift up to the Duomo's terrace
Once on the rooftop, take in the amazing views of the city, getting close-up sights of the statues, spires, and gargoyles. Take a moment to listen to your guide regale you with more history of the cathedral.
After spending some time up on the roof and admiring the views, head back down to ground level, as your tour is finished.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.
- It is FORBIDDEN to introduce inside Duomo food, liquids, knifes, ceramic mugs and everything that can be used as blunt weapon.
- Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour
- On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.
- If you selected the Open Bus Ticket, please show your voucher at the bus stop in Piazza Duomo, in front of the taxi stand. Look for the MILAN OPEN TOUR bus.
- The Spanish Tour Option is available from April 1st to October 31st at 10:00am

They were great to work with and was worth the visit! Such an amazing experience. We missed the tour because we were late and they helped us get the tickets digitally so we could still skip the line!
Breathtaking! Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information and insight into the history of the Duomo.
The tour operator was fantastic. We had a difficult time getting to the location due to travel and the start of beauty week. The tour operator responded quickly and did everything they could but sadly we were too late. Because of the unusual circumstances - road closed, masses of people, stages being set up for the fashion shows - they gave us tickets with a later time so we could go in. We went to the roof and into the duomo and had a magical experience. I cannot thank the tour operator enough for their communication and consideration. I hope to be back soon and would book any of their tours including this one. I highly recommend this experience!
Stefano was my guide. He was using microphone, but it was still hard to hear and understand him. The microphone was not functioning properly. It was also extremely hot and humid inside the Duomo. I was very disappointed in the inside. The outside is spectacular, but the inside, not so much, especially after visiting other churches in Italy.
I did not go up to the rooftop because once you’re off the elevator, you have to walk 90 stairs up and back down again.
I felt this tour was a waste of money and would not recommend it
We had a great tour with Eddy. Learned lots of interesting things about the Duomo and its construction. Would definitely recommend!
While the views were amazing, we could not hear the guide most of the time due to the headsets and we did not recall reading about the hundreds of steps to climb. It was hot out and the stairs were strenuous - I am in a walking boot and had difficulty.
Excellent native Milan guide who gave informative stories about the Duomo. Highly recommend seeing both the rooftop (90 steps) and inside the cathedral for thorough tour. Stained glass windows are worth the price alone!
The place is magnificent; unfortunately our guide"s English was impossible to understand. We and many others could understand about 20% of what she said.
Tour was so-so because the guide was hard to understand. To make things worse the audio device they give have too much static and noise. They need to upgrade to digital noise cancellation headsets. The views both inside and outside weee great. I wish the group size was little smaller as the guide had hard time keeping everyone together.

Wonderful experience. Our guide was so informative and fun. Laura S. Was great we really enjoyed her and she gave a greatly paced tour!
Learn a lot about Gothic architecture and how the church was built. Eddy. Eduardo, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and personable.
You will have access to the terraces after climbing some stairs but it is not difficult at all and the reward is the views and be able to admire the architecture amd all the details!
Great tour! Our guide did a great job of providing historical information and keeping it fun. Would highly recommend. And the views from the rooftop where incredible!
Carmine was the best tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the Duomo and its history. He was very patient and explained alternative options for transport to our group members that couldn't go up the stairs to the roof. Cannot recommend this tour enough, my mom and I enjoyed ourselves immensely! Just a warning, if got very hot on the roof so bring a hat, water, fan, and a scarf to cover your shoulders for the inside of the church.

Amazing! A must see tour when in Milan! We arrived late but we were able to find our tour guide and catch up.
The tour was great, our guide was very good and knowledgeable. We did the rooftop of the Duomo and took the elevator but coming down you had to take the steps. It wasn’t bad at all.
This was an amazing tour. I still can’t believe that we walked onto the roof of this magnificent (and very high) building. Our tour guide (Carmine) was very knowledgeable and kept us informed of all the pertinent details of the Cathedral. A word to the wise women though - read the fine print about covering legs and shoulders.
Loredana was an excellent guide. She provided a great description of the background and building of the wonderful Duomo. She included the historical background of that time, the Visconti context and the current ongoing work of the Fabbrica del Duomo. Great experience being on the roof, and lively views.
Simone was fantastic, wished he spoke a little slower at times. The church was very crowded for the 2:15 tour and it was hard to see what he speaking about from the back of the group. All in all, it was beautiful and I’m glad we went. The rooftop was breathtaking.
Really great tour and experience- our guide Simon was great and informative. Seeing the rooftop was super cool and an easier climb than is advertised.
Very informative and detailed. Guide was kind and fun, interacted with the group well. We were shown all the sights of the Duomo and allowed plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take photos. Roof tour was especially impressive.
Guide came late. Time stated was 2pm for 2.15 start. Guide came at 2.18. Information was quite good although went on too long at end when service had started.

Regarding the start time, we would like to clarify that our guide was already present at the meeting point at 2:00 PM. Since multiple tour groups assemble at that location around the same time, it is very likely that they were simply not immediately recognizable in the crowd before the 2:15 PM check-in was completed.

Please note that our guides always perform a system check at the very beginning of the tour to ensure all earpieces are working properly. Had you informed the guide during the visit about the noisy speaker, they would have immediately replaced your device with a spare one on the spot.

Wonderful. Not every place that you can actually climb up to the rooftop of Cathedrals. Much History.
There are more stairs to navigate in this venue than you might have anticipated. Cathedral entry staff do not coordinate well with guides, and our group was delayed by some preparations for an event (a week away), causing a game of “enter here - no, enter over there - no, enter around the corner” to get inside, delaying the tour. No lights on inside made the entire (magnificent) space dark and hard to appreciate properly, and the preparations referred to above meant much of the areas were roped off and scaffolding and screens covering large areas of the ceiling. Between that and the afternoon heat, it was a bit disappointing. None of this is on the tour operator, our guide did a great job under trying circumstances.

Regarding the stairs on the rooftops, please note that the short staircase between the elevator exit and the second terrace level is mandatory to reach the top, and this detail is clearly stated in our tour description.
As for the other issues you encountered—such as the cathedral staff's coordination, the venue's interior lighting, and the ongoing event preparations, scaffolding, or roped-off areas—these operations are managed entirely by the Cathedral administration (Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo) and are completely outside of our control as an independent tour operator.
We appreciate your understanding that these factors were beyond our responsibility, and we are glad that our guide was still able to deliver a great experience for you despite these external limitations!

This is a must in Milan, so intresting. The beauty of the Duomo is beyond words. As an engineer it was really intresting to go on the roof and see the construction (nerd I'm afraid).
The guide was really knowledgeable and engaging. She kept us all together on a really busy day. She went through a lot of the history of the Duomo from a religious, construction and geopolitical view.
Would highly recommend.
It was worth the trip to the top even in the 32 degree heat. Our guide Cantine was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and and knew his history very well.
Well prepared historical tour with good mix of background , religious symbolism and architectural history.
Very interesting and great views from the rooftop. We could even see the Alps in the distance.
Decided to stay for the 5:30 Mass. it was incredible!
