What are people saying about Tunisia

A busy but great day exploring the history of Tunis.
Aziz picked us up on time - the pre-activity communication was excellent. He drove so well and calmly. He took us to all the locations listed on the itinerary and made sure we knew where the entrances were, helped with tickets and was always on time to pick us up at the end of each visit. It is a busy but enjoyable day and we really enjoyed it.
The first stop was the Medina in Tunis where we had an hour to wander around the souk and we also grabbed a Bambalouni - a fab sweet treat which kept us going until lunch later.
After this we headed to the Amphitheatre which we think is their colosseum, and this was followed by the Catholic church and forum. The next stop was the Theatre which is till in use today for concerts. The Baths of Antoninus was the fifth stop - we had a good look around this huge site. It's a shame that there is very little information about the site by ways of boards. The penultimate stop was the Punitive Port. Aziz then took us to a cafe for lunch - what a bargain as it was under £10 for pizza, chips, drinks and there was also a free tasting starter. Given the busy morning - this hit the spot! Our final stop was Sidi Bou Said - a pretty blue and white village. All in all a great day out.

Fantastic day with superb guide.
What an excellent day with an excellent guide. JiJi was superb and a natural conversationalist. He kept us engaged with information about our sites and his country. His English was fantastic (one of the 5 the speaks). The star of the tour was clearly Dougga but the stop at Testour and the trip to Bulla Regia were enlightening. It’s a long day but worth it. Thank you

We opted for private...
We opted for private driver without guide because we already knew a lot of the history. However, our driver, Oussama, still gave us many information from a local perspective.
Oussama, our driver, was very friendly and easy going, and was willing to deviate to areas that we wanted to see such as the lake area.
Great experience overall.

An Unforgettable Two-Day Sahara Desert Adventure! 🇹🇳🐪🌅
What an incredible experience! This two-day Sahara Desert tour was truly one of the highlights of my time in Tunisia!
From visiting the magnificent El Jem Amphitheater, which I found even more spectacular than the Colosseum in Rome, to hiking in the Atlas Mountains, every stop offered something special.
One of my favorite cultural experiences was visiting a traditional family home, where we watched freshly baked bread being prepared and enjoyed it with honey, olive oil, and delicious rosemary tea. Such a simple yet memorable experience!
We also visited Matmata, explored the famous Star Wars filming location, enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch, and visited the Great Mosque.
But the absolute highlight was our overnight stay at the desert camp in Sabria. Experiencing the Sahara under the stars, watching bread being baked right in the desert sand, and enjoying live traditional music and performances made the evening simply magical.
A special thank-you to our wonderful tour guide, New York, and our driver! Their hospitality, professionalism, and dedication helped make this adventure such an enjoyable and memorable experience. Having a knowledgeable guide and a dependable driver made all the difference as we traveled across this beautiful country.
The food throughout the tour was delicious, the cultural encounters were authentic, and the entire adventure gave me an even deeper appreciation for Tunisia’s beauty, history, and hospitality.
As I prepare to leave Tunisia for my next destination, I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable way to conclude my time here. I’m incredibly grateful that I chose this tour as one of my final experiences in this beautiful country.
Without question, one of the best experiences I’ve had in Tunisia. Highly recommended!

Great day trip
A great day with a great guide. There isn’t much to do in Tunis, so if you’re staying there you’ll want to plan some day trips out of the city, and this a great one. Kairouan is beautiful, El Jem is amazing, and Monastir is a lovely place on the coast. Seif was also a great guide- very informative.

A Day in Tunisia
This was an excellent tour. Our guide and driver picked us up at our hotel and were even a few minutes early and waiting for us. Our first stop was some salt flats and very interesting. We stopped for some fresh local bread that was hot from the oven and delicious. Our next stop was a Ksar outside Tataouine that was just a step back in time. After the Ksar we stopped at the berber village of Chenini and had a tour from a local guide that was very interesting and picturesque. We stopped for lunch in a small village where scenes from the Star Wars Phantom Menace were filmed before heading back to Djerba. A long and very good day.

A perfect half day tour of Tunis.
This was the perfect tour for those with limited time . We were collected from our cruise port in a comfortable, air conditioned van and treated to 5 hours of insightful and professional service from our excellent guide Montessar. He prioritised our interests, ensuring we arrived at each destination at a time to minimise crowds and showing us aspects of Tunis Medina , Carthage and Sidi Bou Said beyond the usual tourist track. His knowledge of history is immense, making for a fascinating overview of the area. He ensured that our route minimised walking difficulty for an older member of our group whilst remaining full of interest.
Highly recommended.

Excellent VIP day trip to The Great Mosque in Kairouan, El Jem Amphitheatre and Ribat of Monastir.
Excellent VIP day trip to The Great Mosque in Kairouan, El Jem Amphitheatre and Ribat of Monastir. It was a long day. Set of at 7.30am, got back to the hotel at 5.30pm, there is lots of driving between sites but we packed it all in.
Abderrahim was our driver, he spoke good English, had good knowledge about the sites we went too and was polite and friendly.
He allowed us to take our time around the sites and was on hand at any given moment, he even offered to take photos of me and my partner and to be honest was a great photographer.

Excellent day tour
We had an amazing tour with Zied Khelil. We were collected from our hotel and explored many sites including the colesseum , El Jem, Kairouan and Monastir. It was a great day. Zied was friendly and informative. I particularly liked the colesseum and all the mosaics. We had lunch at a roadside BBQ which was excellent. Overall we couldn’t have asked for more. I would definitely recommend this tour with Zied.

Great experience with a great driver
Amazing day, seeing amazing sites and led by an amazing driver. Omar, our driver was first class. Knowledgeable and passionate - someone who knows their stuff. Omar went at our pace and made us feel very welcome. Cannot rate him or the trip more highly.

Took Simba’s VIP tour...
Took Simba’s VIP tour experience to see some of Tunisia’s best sites near Tunis. For this customizable, private tour, we explored Carthage, Sibi Bou Said, and the medina in Tunis. Here, you can choose the Bardo Museum instead of the medina, but that seems better to do for at least a half day when you aren’t committed to see everything else in the area that same day. Would recommend doing this tour along with “Fun VIP Day Tour: El Jem, Kairouan & Monastir/Sousse (Pickup All)“ another day to see Tunisia’s greatest hits during a week’s visit. Our driver was Moez, who is professional, speaks English, and doesn’t pressure you to spend money at tourist traps as can be a common experience in this part of the world. He was so good that we requested him again for our second tour with Simba later in the week.

Half day tour of Carthage & Sidi Bou Said
We did a half day tour of Carthage and Sidi Bou Said with Mr. Lassad Chebbi, tour guide, and Mr. Adem Mallouli, driver. Mr. Chebbi was very informative and gave us a lot of details about the history of Carthage and the ruins around the Carthage Museum, aqueduct & cisterns, the impressive Antonine Baths, Tophet sanctuary, Punic port, and paleo-Christian museum. Since we are from the US, he also took us to see the North Africa American Cemetery. We then went to Sidi Bou Said where we strolled along the main street and took in the sights. It was very convenient to have the driver drop us off at so many different places that would have been challenging to navigate without a car.
