Top Tena How to Get Around

The jungle, rivers, caves, canyons, flora and fauna have made this majestic jungle the ideal place to hike and connect with nature. According to the stories of the local people, the spiritual connection with nature makes it possible to find tranquility in the jungle. The crystalline waters of the rivers brings a sense of peace and rejuvenation to every person who bathes in them. This tour is ideal for those who want to connect with nature and learn the secrets and myths of the jungle.

On this ancestral route our guide will explain the ancestral traditions that were practiced in the canyons and natural jars and clean spirits in the waterfalls where bad energies can be purified

This is not a demonstration-style cooking class, it’s a forest-to-table experience co-created with a Kichwa family on their own land. You’ll harvest ingredients directly from a traditional chakra, an Indigenous agroforestry system that mirrors the natural biodiversity of the Amazon and reflects generations of ecological knowledge. Rather than simply observing, you participate in every step: foraging seasonal ingredients, preparing dishes using traditional techniques, and assembling maitos cooked over fire. The experience is developed and operated in partnership with the host family, ensuring tourism directly supports local livelihoods and cultural continuity. By sharing a meal, stories, and homemade artisanal wines together, guests gain insight into a living Indigenous food tradition that is grown and practiced daily.
