Top London Mixology Classes

Skip the mass-produced London souvenirs and create a truly personalized product during a private gin-making session. Make your way to the distillery in the Old Royal Navy College, in the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Maritime Greenwich site, and start with a refreshing gin and tonic. Learn the history of gin and how it’s made before blending and bottling your own special edition.

Whether you’re looking for a sweet activity to enjoy during your London vacation or you’re a big bubble tea fan who’s called this city home for a long time, this class has the type of fun you’re looking for. Let your host teach you the tricks and history of bubble tea (and coffee), share samples for you to taste, and show you how to make three drinks of your own.

Make a day of Portobello Road and make a gin of your own. Explore the market when it is trading, browse the shops and soak up Notting Hill before heading above an old British pub for cocktails, storytelling and a hands-on taste of London's gin heritage. At The Ginstitute, above The Portobello Star, settle in for a spirited 2.5-hour tutored journey through gin's colourful and often miserable past. Over cocktails, your gin instructor brings together the drink's origins, London's Gin Craze and its place in British drinking culture. Then discover what you like in your glass. In a group of no more than 12, smell and taste individual botanical distillates before choosing the flavours for your own gin. Leave with a personal 70cl bottle: a taste of your time on Portobello Road, made to your preferences. Your recipe is saved for future paid reorders to keep your own bespoke Gin blend well stocked for the future.

Don’t just order a gin when you’re in London, learn how to make one, and take home your own bottled creation. During this gin masterclass in Greenwich, sample the various botanicals and flavorings that give gin it’s unique taste, and tweak the recipe as you wish to create a bespoke gin. Besides receiving a bottle of your brew, you’ll also enjoy it in a classic G&T to finish the class on a high note.
