Ronaldo our driver and guide was equal parts charming, funny, knowledgeable and passionate. He clearly loves what he does and that shows in how he talks about the history of the island. I loved how he gently quizzed us on what he had told you already and involved everyone in the jeep. Things to remember, Embrace and Enjoy; be part of the tour. Take some cash with you as the first stop is cash only. Be prepared to take a load of pictures. And finaly if he asks you funny roads or normal the answer is always funny

The most incredible hike! I've done a fair few big hikes in my time and this was up there with the best! I can't recommend enough how much you need to do this trip!!! Our guide was Pedro, he was friendly, professional and an overall great guy. You get plenty of time for the walk itself and the transfers were smooth and easy.

Horst (sorry if not spelled right!) and Fransisco were great guides. Horst knew everything you could possibly think to ask him and was so passionate about the animals. I think he explained in detail about everything we saw in about 5 !? Languages. I am quite nervous on water but I felt really safe and secure on the tour, especially because the guide was so knowledgable about the animals. It was such a great tour and experience. Perfect from start to finish! Friendly & helpful guide, safe driver and bonus of a short stop in Santana on the way back. I had previously attempted this hike solo and panicked after experiencing vertigo so rebooked with a guide for peace of mind. He was very kind and reassuring and I was able to complete the entire hike this time with my husband. Highly recommend this well organised tour- the views are breathtaking!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Madeira! Our guide/driver was fantastic. Knowledgable, friendly and keen to give us the most out of our experience. Pack for all weather conditions and bring lots of water! Only negative thing to note is the car did break down at the end of the trip and the company arranged to have us picked up. This experience was the highlight of the trip and such a great way to see Madeira and avoid driving around the tight and steep roads.

Great communication from On Tales up through the morning of the cruise. Had about ten people on the boat during our 10:30 expedition - everybody fit more than comfortably. Beatriz and Bruno were friendly, knowledgeable and skilled and were very up front with the days conditions and expected sightings. Cruised off Calheta for a while chasing a few dolphins which we managed to see, although they were feeding at the time and not in a bigger school. Lovely ride across long, gentle waves along the scenic south coast. Stop near Porta Do Sol for some swimming and the place lived up to its name with the sun in full effect. Refreshments during the cruise and full access to all areas of the boat. Even with minimal dolphin and whale activity it was an exceptional day on the water. Highly recommended especially if you prefer a smaller group setting than the larger tourist boats!
