What are people saying about Costa Rica

Roberto and Darren were wonderful and very accommodating! Got to see a good number of sloths and learned a lot from the guide. It was also very easy to coordinate hotel pick up. Only downside was another guest smoking, which triggered a migraine. Not the company’s fault but wish there was a policy to enforce otherwise.

Guided > self-guided
It was worth every penny having a guide over going self guided. The only thing I might have noticed on my own were a few frogs and butterflies. We saw a toucan, sloth, multiple snakes, owl, monkeys, lizards, and got education on a lot of plants and history.

We saw some cool creatures! A lot of different types of frogs, an eyelash viper, a couple of large spiders and some poisonous caterpillars. I thought it would be a little creepy at night but it wasn’t, I had a good time seeing the frogs. We went in September, which is the slow season and ended up having the guide all to ourselves!

My husband and I had a fantastic time with the Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour! From the beginning, the communication was clear and helpful, which made everything easy and stress free.
The zip-lining experience was so much fun, and the staff was amazing friendly, organized, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The included meal was also delicious and filling, which was definitely a nice bonus after all the adventure!
Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend the Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour to anyone looking for some adventure while visiting Costa Rica. 10/10 experience!

Amazing - even with suboptimal weather
Great experience, something to do for anyone that visits Costa Rica. The tour guide, in my case Rodolfo, will teach you a lot about the Costa Rican wildlife and its plants. You will get to see various monkeys in their natural habitat. Iguanas and other lizards are also plenty around. Sloths are a bit harder to find, but if you are lucky, you will also see some of them. Others are hummingbirds, bats, termites (especially their nests), spiders, and much more.
There is also one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen there, but I would recommend to do this on your own time (don't really need a guide to hang out the beach) and use the guide to show you more about the park.
Overall, a great experience. Maybe make sure to visit during dry season (December-April) to enjoy it to the fullest.

Waterfall Wonders!
We had a great adventure hiking to see the waterfalls, but be aware that it is not an easy hike. It can be done in good sturdy water shoes. Lots of climbing over rocks, tree branches and vines, as well as through the river of varying currents. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and our guide, Arnoldo was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and gave great instruction throughout the excursion. As he said throughout the trip “No worries!”

Wonder family run chocolate plantation!
Thoroughly enjoyed this informative experience. This isn’t a big commercial thing- it’s family owned. Our tour guide showed us the tools his father and grandfather used to harvest the cacao beans for generations. I highly recommend! A few things that aren’t in the booking info-
1. You don’t need any special shoe, but I’d recommend sneakers. I wore flip flops and got a few little bug bites walking through the property. Not a must, but I wished I’d worn closed toe.
2. They give TONS of fruit samples that were absolutely delicious, in addition to a chocolate banana at the start. Unexpected treat!
Highly recommend Don Olivo- kind family and informative tour!

Lots of sloths and some local flavor
We wanted to see sloths and we sure did! We saw at least 12, including a couple with babies. Our guide, Augustin, was great. He focused in on them in the trees with spitting scope and made sure everyone got a good lock and photos and video through the scope if they wanted. I had my our binoculars, which I highly recommend. Once your guide finds the sloth you can take your time looking at them. One sloth came down from the trees while we were there, and they gave us plenty of time to watch. It was great. The rest of the tour - the coffee, chocolate and sugar cane was interesting and relaxing. But the sloths were definitely the high point for us. If you want to see sloths and experience some of the “flavors” of Costa Rica, this is the way to go.

Amazing and strenuous hiking/Rapelling adventure
The hike is no joke! It had been raining so don't wear shoes you care about because you can't avoid the mud and I can tell you from experience make sure they are good shoes cause mine came off while Rapelling so I chose not to do the big one at the end but my daughter did and I got to watch her and video it from above. It was an amazing time though and the guide Grey was absolutely wonderful and attentive (especially to me being mama)!! The food at the end was the best we had the whole trip!!!

Highly recommend doing this!
The trip was really well organised. We went by bus to the river, about an hour long, stopping enroute for bathroom and souvenir shop. All of the guides were great fun. Really experienced river guides so we felt very safe. It was a fantastic activity! We returned to the base after rafting and had a delicious lunch and tour of the farm. We all thoroughly enjoyed our adventure with Descents!

Amazing Crew & Experience
Luis & Frank gave us a 10/10 experience. Honestly was more than I was expecting and asked for. Very fun and lots of sightseeing and opportunity to take pictures. Fresh pineapple was also served. Thankful for everything! I highly recommend to anyone considering. You will not regret it.

Juan was a very informative guide, his knowledge, enthusiasm and command of the English language were only beaten by his incredible sense of humour. Our day trip was thoroughly enjoyable with Juan's happy attitude and Ivan's safe hands on the wheel, thank you gentlemen for a great day.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
If one country is known for its nature, it’s Costa Rica. With cloud forests, active volcanoes, sparkling beaches, sloth sanctuaries, national parks, and more, outdoor activities in Costa Rica know no bounds. Luckily, it's just 10 hours coast to coast, so you can hike mountain summits, soar down raging rivers, and soak in Costa Rica's famous hot springs in just a few days. These excursions make it easier to hit the highlights, often providing round-trip transportation and sometimes taking you to multiple attractions in a single day.
