Overview

The stretch of gorge below Ubud has no road along it, and the banks are reachable only from the water. A raft covers that ground, running between rock walls carved with reliefs and past rice terraces stepped above the bank. Class II and III rapids break up the calmer sections, with a guide steering and one party to a boat.

White water wonderful

Fantastic experience with 10 year old twins. Jungle landscaping is truly breathtaking and the guide, Eddie a fantastic photographer. A very special experience which none of the family will forget. The food at the end wasn’t great albeit we weren’t expecting anything. On this particular trip, there were no steps back to the transport which we had heard could be quite challenging.

Our driver Nengah, fantastic, on time, great English, funny, helpful, nothings a hassle. 40min drive from where we were staying outside of UBUD, but worth it, again great guide, alot of steps down to river, but worth it, (only 6 steps on the way back). We only had 6 people in our raft, Safe, fun, amazing views, waterproof your camera for Waterfall photos and videos. A must do in Bali

Enjoyed our time on the Ayung River! Our guide was incredible, navigating the rapids with ease through beautiful scenery: waterfalls, rice paddies, and the rock carvings. It's not too intense, making it perfect for anyone looking for fun. Tip: Be ready for the many stairs to and out of the river, but it's totally worth it! Buffet lunch and hot shower afterwards was a nice finish. Our trip included a transfer to and from Benoa pier. Our driver Gusti Ngurah was very patience and also a helpful guide.

Fantastic activity, not overly strenuous, just a fair few stairs either side for those that aren’t able to do stairs. We had a fantastic guide, he had a great sense of humour and had us laughing the whole time.
