What an incredible experience!! Our tour guide Atok was so friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us fantastic suggestions for the rest of our stay in Jogja. The sunrise tour of Borobudur temple was beautiful and well worth waking up early for. Despite the sun visible through the clouds for only a brief moment, the ripples of the colorful pallete it cast over the surroundings and the temple were breath-taking and not to be missed! The jeep tour of Mt. Merapi was an exciting adventure with many different stops with views of the volcano, paired with educational moments of how the volcanic activity impacts local life. We finished the day with a tour of many temples within Prambadan which Atok told us the local folklore along with the history behind many of the impressive structures. We highly recommend this trip!! Maxi was an amazing tour...

Maxi was an amazing tour guide, and the entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Everything felt smooth, well-organized, and genuinely enjoyable, which made it easy to just relax and take in each place we visited. The pacing was perfect, with a great balance between exploring, learning, and having time to appreciate each stop without feeling rushed. Each site felt more meaningful because there was real context and depth behind it, making the day much more engaging than a typical tour. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and easygoing, and it honestly became one of the highlights of my trip. Maxi was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day, and his excellent English made everything seamless. He added so much to the experience in a natural way without ever making it feel forced. I’d absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a thoughtful, well-executed tour.

Delightful afternoon and evening

Our driver communicated well before the tour, was a very safe driver, and gave clear instructions when he wasn’t with us. Another guide took us thru Prambanan, then handed us back to Pras. Our buffet dinner was well-presented and tasty. Pras walked us to the theatre for the ballet and was just outside, easy to locate, when the ballet was over. A very enjoyable evening.

This is an excellent tour to understand the culture of Indonesia. You get so much information on the nation and its rich history from the past and recent in one day! It was a great way to understand the culture coming from the United States in the first time in Indonesia. Awesome experience visiting the caves in Yogyakarta! The car was super comfortable. The tour was well organized and very safe (provided helmets, harnesses, boots for mud). We also got a small lunch afterward coming back from Jomblang that was quite delicious! The guides in the cave helped us take excellent photos, and the drone footage was also amazing quality! Highly recommend doing this tour with Rian!

Temple Tour is Top Notch

Both temples were incredible. The early morning climb up Borobudur was worth it even with overcast skies. The sense of peace and sound of the breeze and birds. — only about 20 people up there with you. You can take such nice pictures without all the people around. Our Borobudur guide, Alvin, had so much information for the group. He really, really added to the whole experience. My Viator driver, Matt, was super organized and right on time. He was very patient with all my questions. As always, I’m impressed with other cultures’ command of the English language. I sadly only know English. Again, such friendly, kind people — truly enjoyable experience.

We booked this tour as we wanted to have a stress-free visit of the two main temples and the volcano and I must say this was a great tour! The organization was perfect and everything in the day went smoothly, we did not have to worry about anything apart from enjoying the activities. Our driver was Fajar and we had a really fun time together! He was really friendly and we spoke about Indonesian culture, knowledge and life in general, great atmosphere to make the rides pass by faster! Fajar was perfectly on time and made sure all was clear for us at the temples, accompanying us to the temple guides and getting us in practical meet-up points. He also brought several water bottles and was open to make various stops if we needed to. We really had a great time. Highly recommended!!
