Red Sightseeing HOHO bus and boat. 72hr

Perfect for our 2 day cruise stop in Stockholm. Several HOHO buses were right outside our cruise ship at 8:30am each morning. The bus route took us to or near most of key tourist areas. The boat route takes about 45 minutes, and one stop was right next to our cruise ship. Wifi worked great on both bus and boats, except for one bus that was just not connecting to the internet. The Viator mobile ticket worked perfectly.

Worst hop on hop off experience ever

Probably the worst hop-on hop-off experience we’ve had. Drivers were rude, staff was pushy. Headphone commentary did not work for all passengers on initial bus, music only for entire 45 minutes; when driver was told he argued nothing wrong. Put on one bus initially then after 15 minutes everyone told to get off and move to another bus; no reason given. Went to hop-on a bus on route; told bus ‘broken’ and going out of service; next bus totally full so all people waiting at stop left stranded. Tickets difficult to access, drivers u sure which tickets valid… it just goes on. Would NOT recommend this redline bus hop on hop off in Stockholm.

Pick up is at the cruise terminal. Plenty of stops in all the right places. Plenty of capacity on the bus and able to pick up at the stops. Commentary good and interesting.

The bus did not get to our area until 1 hour after start time. The first bus drove right passed us. We were dropped off by the ABBA museum and pretty much walked the rest of the day as we never could find a bus or the boat. Not work the money. In fact we have requested a refund because of the number of times the bus passed us by as well as it ends at 5 without warning

That was awesome. Clear instructions about the tour by tour guide. The guide explained about the duration, route of the tour. The guide also informed about how and where to take the metro at the end of the tour.

Quite honestly we would have been just as well off in Stockholm not using the hop-on hop-off bus. First off the hours are limited to 10am to 4pm, and while we decided to ride it for just one full loop, most of the time the audio was just music, there was very little audio tour guide playing and about half the stops had no audio tour guide description. After we got off, we ended up just using Stockholm's public transit for the day which is very convenient as you just tap a credit card, and it went everywhere we wanted to go, and didn't have restrictive hours or force you to go to every stop.

We initially had a difficult time finding the designated spots for hop on and off - Perhaps a big red flag rather than a banner at the bus stops would help. Stockholm by land and water was excellent we used it over two of our three days. It was pretty good price too the taxis are very expensive in Stockholm so our hop on and off bus ticket saved us many steps Of walking.

The buses are clean, drivers are friendly and helpful. The route takes you by and through all the necessary highlights of the city. We do these jump on/off buses to get an idea of the layout of the land. This one did not disappoint!! The app is a must. To be able to track the location of the busses and boats allows you to plan your day without any waste of time. Busses were timely and never truly crowded except on cruiseship days. Thank you.

Good experience. It does what it says. Just keep in mind that there are 2 hop on hop off companies both using red buses. Some stops are not particularly well marked.

Great way to see and learn about the landmarks of Stockholm. Easy to get off and on. Enjoyed the experience. Didn’t realize we needed to get the earbuds to hear the commentary until we were on the top level of the bus. So make sure you grab one when entering the front of the bus,

Don’t buy your hop on hop off tickets in advance. Buy them on site. We bought our tickets through Viator in Stockholm. We boarded two different hop on hop off buses from two different companies and were told our tickets were no good because they were from yet another third company. $ 100 US down the toilet!

It was very difficult to find a stop for the first time. The other hop on hop off company operated in the same area. We thought we were at the right stop and waited quite a while for the bus only to find out that it was the wrong one. Frustrating for sure.

Nice experience overall. But narration needs to state which stop number the bus is currently at. I had a map, but did not know which stop was approaching. Also, there are (at least) two "Hop-on-Hop-Off" companies operating simultaneously on the same routes. Make sure you get on the right bus and right boat, if you do that option.

Disappearing 72 h ticket

I booked for 72 hours tour, but the ticket on Viator disappeared after 24h. There was no way to contact viator as there is no phone listed to call or send text and the email address not correct. Therefore I paid for 72 hours but could not use it. Therefore I am requesting a full refund

We booked 72 hours on the bus but actually only used it for one loop (about 1.5 hours) as Stockholm is very walkable. It was easier to walk than wait for a bus. It was fine but the music that plays between commentary is quite annoying. It’s a good way to get a sense of a city. You can also use the hop on hop off boat as well which is fun.

Working time is too short. From 10:00am till 4:00 pm, and sunset is around 9:30pm. App is helpful, and accurate.

Easy to use, comfortable buses, reliable. We never waited very long. The app stinks, but if you can get it to work, you can see where the buses are in real time. Very easy. Audio tour didn't give much info. This was a pleasant experience, but I would do public transit next time. We discovered that it's so easy and cheap!

Seamless from beginning to end. Lots of buses and boats arriving every 15 mins or so. Great audio commentary. We always try to do a HOHO when we visit a city and this was one of the better ones.
