More challenging than I thought it would be, basically all up hill for 2km, your heart will be racing after 5 min. Started raining at the top and got very slippery and windy but we made it! I wouldn’t have made it to the summit if it weren’t for others in my group. Thank you Jiyoung for showing us the way. Great natural escape to get some fresh air - lots of locals do this hike from all ages (no children though). Please wear hiking shoes as this will be so much safer on the boulders.

At points, hard work, but our lovely guide Jiyoung made sure everyone had the breaks they needed for a little rest or drink. I definitely needed more than 500ml of water, so glad I stopped at the CU store and picked up 2. Footwear is important, some people wore running shoes with minimal grip and they regretted it. A lovely local offered me a coffee and a biscuit at the top and I drank it and just took in the view.
Make sure you stretch properly pre & post trek 😊

Such a good time! The view at the top was definitely worth the steep(ish) hike. There were some challenging parts, but not too bad of a hike if you have some hiking background. Koa was a great guide as he worked with our little group.

It is one of the best hikes that we’ve experienced. Koa is an amazing guide, he’s very friendly and communicative. This is highly recommended for hiking enthusiasts!

For those in hiking shape and not afraid to get up a little early, this is one of the best things you can do around Seoul. The views are incredible, and since the hike is rather vertical, you reach the peak in a surprisingly short amount of time (at least compared to my mountains back home). Our guide Koa was great, he had a fun sense of humor, and paid very admirable attention to all hiker safety up-and-down the mountain. A nice lunch afterward makes for a healthy and wholesome time. There are also stray cats living all the way up on the peak, amazing!
