insane viewpoints + forest hikes!!!

the experience was incredible and absolutely worth the money. henry was extremely communicative from beginning to end, and the trip felt more like a fun day trip with friends rather than a guided tour. the hikes were not very hard, and the views were breathtaking! we saw some cute sloths and lots of wildlife, learnt about wildlife conservation efforts in brasil as well as the history of the park. it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and henry was a wonderful guide (with highkey based political takes). absolutely recommend :D lastly - shout out to fernando fr - i dont think i would've booked this had i not checked the reviews and read henry's response. that drama lowkey hooked me and my friend.

The tour was absolutely breathtaking, the tour is different what the usually big operators offer. Excellent trip with a guide with so much knowledge and the employees were incredibly nice, welcoming, and professional throughout the entire trip. They made us feel completely safe and comfortable. Highly recommended!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I DONT RECOMMED AT ALL The staff are completely uneducated. The organization is terrible. They message you through multiple chat accounts and then don't even know who they're talking to.

Oh I was waiting for this entitled review. The most arrogant, disrespectful tourist we had during Carnaval 2026, congratulations!! The gold medal goes to you Fernando. Take a bow! I wonder why you decided to not mention you were staying in lapa? And that you put the incorrect address for Copacabana. "R. Duvivier, 6 - Copacabana" and that you were nearly 20 minutes late because you went to the incorrect address. We really shouldn't have even waited for you, plus the fact that you started to film us because you couldn't find the correct location and arrived late. Ha, man you need to take some responsibility for your own actions. And you know what?? This is an absolute confirmation and a validation that I made the correct decision to kick you off the tour for security reasons etc. Also shall I note you lied and said you're português, when you only spoke Spanish? (No, issue other than our tour is English and português, so next time book the correct language or a private tour!). For any future and potential clients, if you come with arrogance / ignorance, bad energy and disrespect, you will have zero chance of joining this tour. Money is not everything! I love my job, and I adore meeting people but you Fernando are the exact type of tourists we try oh so very hard to avoid. Last minute bookers, zero communication, major lack of respect, filming on arrival and jumping in front of the van. Your temper tantrum was like an early 2000s Lindsay Lohan Disney drama, not needed 🤣😅! By the way, we had an incredible day, monkeys, Tucans, waterfalls, beautiful views and the best part, no negative energies. 😊🙃

Amazing Hiking Experience

Thank you, Henry! My friend and I had an amazing time exploring and hiking the Tijuca Forest — it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Henry was exceptional and incredibly knowledgeable about the park, which made the experience even more special. We also visited several viewpoints overlooking the beautiful city of Rio. If you’re thinking about this tour - go for it! Highly recommend!

Views to Die For

Tijuca Forest has many trails if not for our tour guide Henry to pick and choose the right ones for our group. Some of the trails brought us inside a cavern, a nice dip under a waterfall, spectacular views overlooking Copacabana Beach and a technical climb with foot hooks. We saw some wildlife and flora: coati, monkeys, frogs, cicadas, crickets, ladybugs, many non-native species of flora brought in from other countries by Dom Pedro in the 1800’s. Henry is a wealth of history knowledge that helped educate us of the past and current events of the present. We had nice conversations while walking along the trails. Upon payment to Viator, Henry reached out on WhatsApp to inform us about the logistics of the day and time of pickup. Also asked if we had any health issues that would prevent us from hiking any of the trails. In the morning, Henry reached out to let me know he was running a bit late. More communication is better than less. This tour of the forest was totally worth the experience by 5 star Henry.
