Our horse guide, Joe, was awesome! My mom wouldn’t have been able to ride without his help. And the monkeys were definitely a must do! They gave us “special VIP” attention since we booked with the horseback ride.

We went on the horseback riding and Monkey House tour, which included private transportation to and from our location, making the entire experience very convenient and stress-free. Daris picked us up and provided us with a lot of helpful information about our first time visiting the Dominican Republic. He also prepared us for what to expect throughout the tour, which I really appreciated. When we arrived at Monkey House, it was honestly one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The experience itself was amazing and definitely something I would recommend. My only concern was the pricing for the photos. The prices are extremely high, and I think the company should consider being more flexible with their pricing or at least allow some room for negotiation. They may be losing additional revenue by not offering more reasonable options, as some guests may simply choose not to purchase the photos at all. The horseback riding experience was very authentic and traditional, and it felt similar to what locals might experience in their day-to-day lives. Our horseback riding guide, Joe, was great and was accompanied by a couple of very well-mannered younger gentlemen who helped ensure that we remained safe and comfortable throughout the ride. I really appreciated the extra attention to safety. Macao Beach was beautiful, although the area was very crowded. The views were absolutely gorgeous, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. There were also several local vendors selling items along the beach. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and respectful, and they were simply out there trying to make a living. If you visit, I would encourage you to consider purchasing at least one small item if you can. Supporting the local people and their businesses is a meaningful way to contribute to the community while enjoying your experience. Overall, this was a memorable experience with great transportation, knowledgeable guides, beautiful scenery, and some truly unforgettable moments. I would definitely recommend the tour and would consider doing it again.

THIS IS NOT MONKEY LAND, IT’S THE MONKEY HOUSE!!! THEY ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY!!! We were there for all of 15 minutes max!!! It was put your phone away, SNAP SNAP SNAP, now pay us $150 for your pictures or 20 each!!! I WAS COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED FOR THE PRICE I PAID!! THEY ALSO TALK ABOUT YOU IN SPANISH THE WHOLE TIME!! YES I UNDERSTOOD!! The drivers were nice, thorough, and early for pick up. The horseback riding was fun and the guides were very kind. We spent time on the beach which was unexpected, but enjoyable. Please don’t be fooled and bamboozled like me. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THE MONKEY HOUSE!!! Book directly through Monkey Land.

The monkey tour was very short. Went spent more time in the waiting area waiting on another group to finish with the monkeys so our time was short. Due to us waiting it took longer and then we were rushed for the horseback saying we were late. The beach trip was about 20 minutes if that.

So much fun! Monkeys were all so cute. We loved Rico! Definitely a must do when visiting. Staff was friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable

The horse riding is not...

The horse riding is not what's advertised. You ride a horse down a very busy dirt road no scenery to look at just trash and trees. Then you are almost forced to buy pictures you are not even allowed to take a picture of the ocean only pictures you can get are one your buy from them. At the beach (which you cant ride horses on) you are hounded by everyone to buy stuff. The Monkeys where very neat and that part was awesome other than you can't take any pictures there either and all you can do is buy the ones they take. All pictures are very expensive. The best part was the 2 guys that came to pick us up they were very entertaining and informative. Would not go back.

Mother’s Day trip

This trip was extremely enjoyable. The staff are professional, punctual and honest. We had a very good conversation on the way to the destination. What to expect on our trip was fully explained. Never riding a horse before. The staff there were informative and patient. The beach was beautiful. The monkey experience was amazing. The trip even ended with a fresh coconut to top it off. I would definitely book another excursion with them again!
