This trek is worth your time. Although it isn't possible to hike on the volcano any longer, the boat ride along the shore is really fun. Prepare to be a little wet. The view from the People's Park is spectacular. We also appreciated stops along the way for a vast array of fruit and Buko Pie. Our guide Gerald was extremely personable, and we were especially appreciative of the added side trip to a chapel in a local village here people could worship in a very natural setting formed by a rock amphitheater.
It was a great experience seeing unique places and different experiences.
It was amazing to see the local communities the food and way of life.
