If you get Jian as your tour guide…expect to have an amazing experience…top notch!!!
Not sure about all the potential tour guides available for this tour, but if you get Jian—expect to have an amazing experience!
Jian was extremely knowledgeable about the food, culture, and history of the Philippines.
We have taken “Foodie” tours around the world and Jian ranks among the best…highly recommend!!!

So good!!
Chyl was such a delight! She has a warm, welcoming personality. She had our cooking stations and ingredients set up upon our arrival. While we were chopping, prepping, sautéing, etc she was chatting with us and educating us on Filipino cuisine and culture. The recipes were easy to follow and will be simple to replicate at home. The dishes were yummy and my kids enjoyed making theirs as well. If you like to cook and want to learn about Filipino staples, you should definitely book this class!

Taste of Manila as a Local!
For our first day in Manila, we wanted to visit an area that had fewer tourists and would give us a sense of how some Manila residents live. The food tour provided an excellent background for accomplishing this. Each stop was carefully selected to introduce food that is common in the Philippines. I appreciated how the tour gradually introduced food items that may be less commonly known to Westerners. In addition, there was no pressure to eat any food item that you weren't comfortable with and the portions were more than adequate. Chloe did an excellent job explaining each food item that was offered and when it is was generally eaten by Filipinos. The last stop also provided an opportunity to visit a popular restaurant and enjoy several dishes. I would highly recommend it especially as you are recovering from jet lag and want an easier tour.

Best tour guide in banaue!
Miller was a fantastic hilarious guide who was very knowledgeable and patient, we had the best time with him and would highly recommend his tour! He showed us the best spots to get photos, souvenirs and even swimsuits that we were needing for the waterfall that we forgot to bring. He is super flexible and caters the day to your needs, making us feel comfortable and in safe hands. He was played guitar to us at lunch, which was so sweet, and welcomed us into his home, showing us how they as a family prepare rice. He is the best tour guide and banaue and had dreams of seeing New York one day so please support his dream!

Fun Bike Tour
Great tour of Intramuros. Our guide, Prime, kindly made sure I had a bicycle that I was comfortable with as well as sunscreen and bug spray. He answered all of our questions and customized the tour to our interests. I was able to see more of Intramuros than I could if I were walking. It was a hot day. Our guide provided cold water halfway and a cold towel plus ice cream at the end. Highly recommend.

A do not miss tour for first timers in Manila who want a quality bite of the history, the grit, the culture of Manila
I had one full day in Manila, my first visit to the Philippines. This tour had a great tour covering Intramuros, Cathedral, For Bonafacio, Binondo (Chinatown), and "real life Manila" where we toured the narrow neighborhood alleys and the "slums" and a wet market. The absolute standout was our guide Floyd, who also happens to be federal law officer enforcement by day. Floyd absolutely made the difference, providing background from a true local with knowledge, passion, and excellent speaking skills. We got to try Manila-chinatown specific foods (I'm ethnic Chinese and have been to many chinatowns in the world, so I wanted something specific to Manila.) We rode a jeepney, and an 8-person tuktuk. We got to see real local modern life, including street internet terminals, owner who raises fighting rooster, and other things. Get on this tour... everyone felt they very much got their money's worth.
Note: there seems to be a lot of dependency on the tour guide availability (understandable). Not all time slots will be available if the guide isn't available. I signed up for an 8am, which ended up not happening so they rescheduled me for 11am. Even with this, I would prioritize this tour and make room in your schedule.

Amazing place to visit
This was a great opportunity to see a magical place. Richard was an awesome tour guide., and very knowledgeable. Very easy to talk to.
Since I was a solo traveler, and the only one booked for that day, it was really special to have the trip go well. Ronald was a great driver, and a pleasure to talk to as well.

Highly recommended Manila activity
This was the only tour we booked during our trip to Manila and I'm so glad we did. The last time I went to Intramuros was when I was a young child so to come back as an adult, it felt different and I understood the history a lot better and appreciated the Philippine culture a lot more. We came a bit late but our tour guide was nice enough to wait for us. From the start of our tour, I thoroughly enjoyed the background, the insight, and the physical artifacts that supported the whole tour. Intramuros/Fort Santiago is a bastion of Philippines history and to be able to hear more about Jose Rizal's contribution to Philippines independence made me more proud to be Pilipino. Seeing the dungeon where many people suffered and perished was nothing short of heartbreaking. I can only imagine the pain and helplessness of those who were left in that dungeon. After that, I enjoyed the small break with our sorbetes (ice cream) and water. After Fort Santiago, we came to Manila Cathedral. It was also my first time seeing that church. It's not as big and grand as other cathedrals in other countries but the inside was very ornate and looks wonderful. It's amazing to see the headquarters of the Philippines Catholic Church. The kalesa ride was pretty fun. It was our first time. Also, to have a driver who knows the history of the area was an added bonus. He was also pretty funny so we had a great time while riding the kalesa. After the ride, we ended up in San Agustin Church. When we got there, there was a baptism that was happening so we weren't able to get in but we still got a historical lesson of the church. Last but not least, we got to see the Plaza San Luis Complex where a grand house was set up to look how it was back during the Spanish colonial times. It was great seeing antique furniture and all the accoutrements that were used back in the day. It was also interesting to see how this mansion came about. I won't get into more detail for potential people who want to do this activity but you will be surprised. Overall, I highly recommend this activity, especially if it's your first time in Manila or you're just curious. Our tour guide was awesome, engaging, and very knowledgeable.

Great Transfer Service
What a great purchase and experience.
Bryant our driver contacted me the day before to introduce himself and to provide me with directions for pick up location.
We kept in contact with Bryant to update him of our airport arrival, so he was at the pick up location a few minutes after we arrived there (given Manila traffic, this was awesome service).
He helped us with our bags and then negotiated traffic safely and calmly in his very clean and nice vehicle.
Cant ask for more !

Guided tour through intramuros
Victor was an informative and attentive guide. If you are visiting from outside of the Philippines, this is a good way of learning about the cultural and historical background of intramuros. Many areas I would not have recognised the significance of, or how to find them, without assistance. Casa Manila was a particular highlight, with its intricate decor.

A thorough and enjoyable tour!
Jian was a wonderful guide. I ended up being the only guest that day, so I got a private tour with him, which was fantastic, personal, and allowed for a lot of detail. We toured the St Augustin Church, Casa Manila, and the Fort Santiago plaza. Weather rained us out for a longer stay at the Fort and Manila Cathedral, but that left room for a Tricycle ride through Intramuros and a deeper discussion over coffee, between locations. Highly recommend Jian and his company for this and the other tours they offer. If we're back in Manila I'll definitely look for more experiences with Jian!
