Great experience! The kayak trip was fun, scenic, and informative. Only downside: the tour was only in French, so I had to translate everything for my English-speaking partner. Still, we had a great time overall!

We arrived at the paddle house on baumette and were charged an additional cost for kayak hire which may have been in the small print but wasn’t clear. The guide was rude - I queried something at the desk and he asked me if I understood English (I am British) then there were c 20 kayakers and only one guide - this is too low a ratio. Then we needed to leave early and I asked whether this was possible - the guide told me to listen” in the first time in my life “ I was shocked with his turn of phrase. So all in all I am very disappointed- and I found the instructor to be arrogant and actually rude plus negligent if you look at the ratios.

Getting the kayak tour confirmed Viator + the kayak company was very confusing. I received different confirmations by email which was very confusing and therefor had to call Viator several times. After getting the confirmation for our booking by phone + email we drove to the kayak tour the next day (30 min drive) only to hear that the tour guide already left. We could choose an alternative or get a re-fund. Very disappointing. Specially because we received the confirmation just the day before and Viator had spoken to him also the day before. The guy at the location also said that online bookings via Viator often go wrong. Costed us over 1 hour of driving, for nothing. All together a no go for us to book this again.

Edmonde was a knowledgeable, kind and fun guide. The scenery was stunning and we had opportunities to discover quieter nooks and crannies of the coastline, learn about the are and see and experience some of the sea wildlife. Not the cheapest but well worth the experience
