Great views of the mountains, glaciers & lakes on our 20 minute flight. Good pilot, but it was a little hard to understand his commentary through the headphones. Beware if you weigh over 250lbs - there is a 50% surcharge. This seems a little harsh, since I don’t believe you are buying any extra space, just paying for the extra fuel used. It’s hard to believe that a person weighing 260lbs uses $104 more fuel than someone weighing 249lbs so I think the “fat tax” should be lower. Despite that, we had a great flight, and would use this company again.

It was a very short tour and didn’t take to glacier close. It was only 18 minutes include going up and down so total time was only 10-12 minutes.
Very experienced team and will do everything to make sure that your flight goes smoothly even if the weather conditions aren’t good they advise the best possible option.
Everyone at Rockie Heli Canada was amazing! Super friendly and hospitable. We’ve never done a helicopter tour before but we would imagine they just set the bar high for us.

What an incredible experience! This helicopter tour over the Canadian Rockies was one of the highlights of our trip.
The location was easy to find, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the check-in process was seamless. The waiting area overlooks the helipads, making it exciting to watch the helicopters arrive and depart before your own flight.
A special thank you to our pilot, Lucas, who checked us in, thoroughly explained the safety procedures, and made us feel completely at ease. Since we were traveling with our 7-year-old, hiking on the glaciers wasn't a practical option, so choosing this tour turned out to be the best decision we made. Our son even got to sit in the front seat next to the pilot, creating a memory he'll never forget!
The takeoff and landing were unbelievably smooth—like a hot knife through butter. We've been on other helicopter tours before, and this was by far the smoothest flight we've experienced.
Lucas wasn't just an excellent pilot—he was a fantastic guide as well. Throughout the flight, he shared fascinating stories about the glaciers, Abraham Lake, Angry Bear Valley, the Cline River, and the surrounding peaks. We even searched for mountain goats, but they managed to stay hidden this time!
Next time, we'll definitely return for the 55-minute tour. If you're visiting the Jasper region or the Canadian Rockies, this is an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend.
The staff at the Heli Centre are excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Our guide, Owen was knowledgeable and made us feel at ease (for 2 of us it was our first time in a helicopter). Incredible scenery! Glaciers, lakes, oaks and valleys! Would do again in a heartbeat.

Our pilot and guide were amazing- keeping our safety at the forefront of our adventure. Jake, our pilot, kept the ride steady and made us feel comfortable in the sky! Our guide, Aaron, filled us in on the history and geological relevance of the area. He certainly knew his history! There were pockets of the geography that they weren’t comfortable flying into due to the cloud cover and they were totally honest saying so- making us feel safe and confident in their decisions. This ride was like being in an Omnimax theatre- unbelievable beauty. We even spotted a bear from the sky! Definitely a chance of a lifetime!

Absolutely the most amazing thing we've ever got to experience !! We are already planning on going back and possibly doing a summer tour in the summer... Ralph was great and fun and friendly and most of all made us feel safe and told us alot of interesting info about the mountains and things around there . Highly recommend people to check this out and even if your nervous as a first time flyer (like i was) don't be scared !! I wasn't even scared one bit I had a smile glued on my face and it was quite the thrill .
This helicopter ride was a great experience! I’d give the pilot and the company five stars.
But I would say one thing about TripAdvisor – this flight came up when I searched “activities IN Banff”. That’s not correct we drove 2 1/2 hours to get to the meeting point.

My husband and I had never flown in a helicopter before and as scared as I was, we did it! The flight was amazing. The scenery shown was breathtaking and unbelievable. The pilot certainly knew what he was doing...... And so knowledgeable about the Rockies we learned so much. I am a convert and would highly recommend this tour.

We missed most of our morning sightseeing to bus out to this trip good half hour. Quite honestly we should have taken a longer ride as with 20 minutes he couldn't go far and we seemed to do a small circle and head back. Need at the very least half hour I think.
We had our helicopter tour postponed until the following day, due to the weather conditions, but it was really worth it as the weather was so much better the next day and we had were able to take lots of fabulous photos. It was my first trip in a helicopter, but my husband had been up in one before. Absolutely awsome!!
From the moment of walking in to the registration office, we were treated as special guests.
It amazed me to be assisted on an off the heli! The pilot gave us great information and explained so many extras that made it seem richer than we expected. Of course the Rockies are majestic, but up close and from the top was beyond words. Definitely an experience of a lifetime. Thanks to the whole team. Every piece of the experience was so wonderfully handled!!!
After slight confusion regarding our hotel pick up the tour was fabulous. The pilot and his assistant were very informative regarding the sights and points of interest . I would definitely recommend this trip for a birds eye view of the mountains .

Loved it. First time in a helicopter and even with a little bit of turbulence little according to the pilot we loved the tour. We opted for the 30 minute flight. Taking us down the side of the rockies down to lake MInnewanka and back up the Bow Valley. The time flew sorry for the pun by.
Worth every penny! Darren was a great pilot and tour guide. It was a very clear day with calm winds. The van ride was also very interesting with our Native American driver giving us a history lesson on the way to the heliport.

The pick up was on time and the driver a very nice guy who told us a lot about his First Nations culture which was great. At the helicopter airport, all was well organised. The trip was wonderful. The only downside, is that the airport is a long way out, hence flying time is limited. I would suggest taking the longest flight time trip to take in more.
We were a little worried that the weather was going to cancel our flight but it cleared up just in time. The trip was a great adventure from start to finish, the pick up from Banff was great and a very friendly guy, even though he is afraid of heights and flying.
The base is really nice, hot and cold drinks and nibbles provided. We didn't wait long to be shown to our helicopter and introduced to the pilot, he was lovely and very informative, I was a little worried when he said he had only been flying for 18 months but I had no need to worry.
The flight was good there was only the 3 of us family and the pilot aboard, had fantastic views.
I thoroughly recommend this trip we did the 30 minute one and it was well worth the money.
Was the best thing ever, it was hit and miss wether we were going to be able to go due to wind conditions, and the pilot did have to change the route we took, which was a bit unfortunate but still very well worth doing, and we appreciated that it was for our safety this was done. Life time experience
