An amazing day at Sagalossos!

One more amazing experience around a less visited but magnificent archeological site in Turkey. This amazing experience was only possible because of the dear tour guide Mr Mahmed- a very refined gentleman whose behaviour and professionalism was beyond any possible previous expectation. Unfortunately, the amphitheater was not opened for visiting . On the other hand, thanks again to the dear guide I had access to places which are not available for most tourists. The magnificent Antonino Pio’s fountain by itself justifies the visit . Moreover, my guide ( Mahmed) was very lucky when choosing the restaurants where traditional local meals are available ( fair prices/ excellent food) and giving hints regarding souvenirs’ shops and offering ideas for my next adventures in Turkey. Thanks a lot to the dear guide and to the whole Viator’s staff. Congratulations!

Exploring Burdur

Our guide Omer was exceptional. We had an unexpected late snowfall at Sagalassos. He made sure we were able to see everything and ensured we were safe walking through the site. Omer also took us to dine on specific Burdur cuisine at a local restaurant. He also found a site where we could sample Salep. We wrapped up the day with a visit to Ariassos. It was a wonderful experience.

Sagalassos is a beautiful set of Roman ruins up the the mountains about 2 hours north of Antalya. The private tour with Omar was very well organized and informative. I would highly recommend it.
