Amazing time
An amazing all encompassing experience! If you have limited time in Oaxaca, or if you’re there for a few days, you have to do this tour. It has a little bit of everything for everyone, and seeing the Mitla archaeological site was super cool. The pools at hierve del agua were a bit cool in October but still manageable. Kevin was also a really great tour guide. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful way to see so...
Wonderful way to see so much of outside of Oaxaca! Each part of the tour had a very knowledgeable tour guide that brought new energy to the tour group. Mitla and Hierve el Agua are very special places and should not be missed on a visit to Oaxaca.

The best tour guide
We had a great time with Andrea. This was an awesome tour where we covered the main things to do and see east of town. Hierve el Agua is beautiful, we had a lot of great mezcal, and learned about Mitla. Highly recommend.

We traveled around 20% of Oaxaca and had a wonderful time seeing the sights with Kevin and Angel! We fortunately saw the tule tree during a festival in which we got to touch the tree, which was cool. Definitely recommend the tour!! The buffet was good too!

Amazingly organized full day. Our tour had 4 Spanish speakers and us 2 English speakers and our guide did an excellent job switching back and forth for all of us, all very understandably.

Great Experience and Value
Very fun and well organized, and our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and entertaining at every stop. A half day was the perfect amount of time, and we didn’t feel rushed or bored at any point

If I could give this 6/5 I would! Kevin's amazing
This is an example of how a tour should be run - everything happened as described, on time and clearly explained along the way.
Kevin made sure the group bonded as one cohesive unit we had a great time and the little surprises and touches Kevin layered on throughout the day was Great!
Book this if you want to go to these Oaxacan sites!

Hierve el agua
Adriel was really interactive, friendly, informative and fun! Him and his crew made the tour very lively and safe while telling us all about Oaxaca unfiltered and historically accurate.

Andrea is an exceptional guide! We had such a wonderful time with her and the fellow members of our group. She is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and kind. We had a little rain during our trip and she adjusted perfectly! We especially enjoyed our time at the mezcal distillery afterwards!

When to visit

Mitla is a must for history buffs and those interested in Mexico’s ancient history.
There is an admission fee.
Plan about an hour to explore the archaeological site. It’s also worth visiting the town of San Pablo Villa de Mitla, where highlights include the San Pablo Church and a handicrafts market.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking over uneven grounds, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water, since there is little shade at the ruins.
Some parts of the site are accessible for travelers using wheelchairs and strollers.
