Yes, guided tours of Monterosso al Mare are definitely worth it, especially if you want to see this seaside resort town from the water. Even if your guide wasn't born and raised in the Cinque Terre, they'll know all about its best nooks and crannies and will be able to steer you toward the best gelato joint or beach club with comfy chair rentals. Also, they can probably tell you when the cruise ships will be in town so you can avoid the crowds.

Per one customer who booked the Kayak experience with Carnassa Tour in Cinque Terre + Snorkeling, "We had beautiful weather. Our guide was fantastic and knew the area and the water. We got to snorkel and saw an octopus! I would definitely do this excursion again."

How much do Monterosso al Mare tours cost?

Because Monterosso al Mare is so small, and it's very touristy, you won't find many tours under US$50 here. Besides self-guided audio tours, the most affordable tours are kayaking or e-biking excursions, which start around US$35 per person per hour. If you want to go out on a traditional wooden boat (called a gozzo), expect to pay at least US$100 per person for a 2–3-hour trip.

For a tour at the lower end of the price range, why not saddle up for the Horse ride on the coast of Monterosso al Mare Cinque Terre? The 100-minute tour costs around US$95 per person and treats you to some of the best views of the Ligurian coast. If your budget allows, consider one of the more popular, pricier tours, such as the Cinque Terre Sunset Boat Tour from US$175 per person. As you sail toward Riomaggiore and Punta Montenero, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and other marine life. Take advantage of the complimentary snorkel gear to work up an appetite for the Italian aperitivo served on board. Of course, the 3-hour excursion culminates with the sunset.

What activities are included on Monterosso al Mare tours?
