Lovely day
Nice day overall, good tour guide. Cheeky monkeys, the village was alright but maybe not my cup of tea.

Great trip to see monkeys, feel the real “war” as it was and enjoy mangrove forest
Light tour with good balance between travel and activities. Signature trip with must do activities I if you’re around HCMC.

Good River Tour
Overall a nice river cruise, with fresh food and some croissants. Our guide Van was friendly and enthusiastic. Interesting crusing along Saigon River and seeing way of life.
Can Gio/Vam Sat itself is interesting with good nature elements and animals, locals are friendly and offered a good lunch. The infrastructure in Can Gio is lacking and is in need of repair and investment - a lot of it feels quite dilapidated. We would have chosen an alternative destination if known this in advance. Of course, this is not an issue with Saigon River Tour.
Would recommend Saigon River Tour, but probably a destination besides Can Gio until facilities improve.

Encounters in the Wild
The whole tour was very interesting and well organised. I particularly enjoyed encounters with the cheeky monkeys and the mangrove forest itself. The Vietnam War commando camp was also very interesting.

Brilliant
Really good tour. If you only had 1 day I would definitely recommend this one. The monkeys were the best part.

Enjoyable enough day out
The bus ride was quite long but it was fun driving onto the ferry to get across to the island. The best part was the forest itself as it is quite unique.
The rest was just ok.

Great Can Gio Monkey Tour
Our guide, Duckie, was cheerful and informative and made sure we had a great time.
There are a large amount of monkeys, a lot with babies and you can hand feed them which was a highlight for us.
A wonderful lunch was also included at a peaceful beach location.

Great day trip to take
I really enjoyed this tour. It was nice getting to be with the wildlife and learning more about the Vietnam War along the way. Particularly enjoyed the final stop in Can Gio to enjoy some iced coffee at the beach. Kudos to Harry for being a great guide too.
Anyone doing this tour should be warned, the monkeys will take any loose items on you

Great guide but the rest is probably average
I first of all have to say we had a guide called Phil, he was brilliant, funny, charismatic and just lovely to be around, hence the 4 stars. The tour not so brilliant...Monkey island is good if you've not experienced monkeys before, they are in a natural environment, they are cheeky and cute and mischievous.
The crocodile farm was underwhelming, with just a view deck, little information on them and not much else, though again we saw a few in their natural habitat, it just wasn't much of a "tour". The mangrove forest, unfortunately there is little to again report, I've done this in other countries where the mangroves look healthier and full of life, whilst here they all just felt a little sad. We had paid to have a boat back through the mangroves included but the guide had not been informed and we didn't want to pay extra for a boat ride so we had to walk the same 2k route back in high humidity 🥵 (currently awaiting a refund for this part of the tour). The lunch/food included was also not very good, it was a little bit sad again, felt like a ghost hotel and the beach was covered in litter.
All in all, great guide but lacking in content.
