Great value, very well organised.

A group of 8 of us went with Viator to Guatapé from Medellín. We were able to choose a pick up point close to our accommodation and were met at the breakfast venue by Sebastián who made sure our day got off to a great start. On the trip we were very well looked after by Karen our guide who gave us a lot of information that we needed to really appreciate our day in and around Guatapé. With several stops during the day including lunch, the opportunity to climb the Piedra de Peñol, a boat trip (our one and only quibble - the music on the boat was a bit intrusive!) and a final stop at a petting zoo to meet llamas and alpacas, Karen made the whole day run like clockwork. The coach was comfortable and spacious for the size of the group and we made good progress in the Medellín traffic. Overall we were very impressed and would recommend Viator to anyone looking to get to Guatapé from Medellín.

Amazing waterfall hike!

Amazing hike crisscrossing the river numerous times. Challenging enough train to make it fun but but not at all too difficult. Lots of cool information from the guides as well about the flora along the way and the animals that live in the area. When I return to Medellin someday I may even do it again it was so good! The guides were super helpful making sure everybody got up more difficult climbs, and sent out good pre-trip info.

Exquisite Experience!

Our family of six had a spectacular time visiting this farm with Carlos as our guide. In addition to being a walking encyclopedia on the topic of coffee, he knows Medellin and was able to help us better understand the city as he drove us to and from the farm. The experience of better understanding coffee - from seed to processing to tasting - exceeded all of our expectations. Every step of this tour was given with exquisite thoughtfulness and care. I think part of that comes from doing it again and again and having had the chance to perfect it, but for us we felt like the first and favorite customers ever - not a hint of being part of a touristy grind. Carlos and Juan Pablo, who assisted Carlos once we got the farm, seemed truly enthusiastic to share their passion for Colombian coffee with us. Also, this farm is in a breathtakingly beautiful location. I don't think any of us will ever look at or taste coffee the same way again. Be sure to bring plenty of cash so you can buy their products (which they never pushed, we inquired and bought) as well as to tip. We left this tour high on coffee and life. Truly a highpoint of our trip. Thank you Carlos, Juan Pablo, and all at the farm!

This trip was fantastic....

This trip was fantastic. A really great deal. We were staying in Guatape for the night so we took the tour with our luggage (stored under the bus while the tour was happening) and then just got our luggage at the end of the tour and made our way to our hotel in Guatape. It was a great way to see the rock/town/boat ride of the lake and get transportation from medellin to guatape for an amazing price!

My friend and I really enjoyed this tour! I don't even drink coffee and I thoroughly had a great time learning about the different processes and trying all the different treats. Ask for Samuel if possible, he really kept the energy up and kept us entertained! We never felt bored even though it was a lot for information. The horse riding was also a lot of fun. As it was our first time riding, the uphill path as a bit scary for us but we felt safe knowing that the trainers were walking along with us the whole time. We would've liked to begin on flat terrain but that is a small detail. Another small detail would be to improve the trainers picture taking skills, he offered many photos but unfortunately none are very good. I would highly recommend this tour! The finca was beautiful, everyone was so kind, and it definitely left a positive mark on our Medellin trip.

Wonderful!

We had a small group tour with Yuli and it was fantastic! Exploring the Zócalos, and El Peñol and getting to climb la Piedra de El Peñol were all terrific, as was learning from Yuli about life, the food and local culture, but the real highlight was the coffee farm. Learning and taking part in the collection, sorting, grinding and ultimately drinking the amazing coffee was a real treat and Yuli was so kind, helpful and fun!

Amazing excursion,…… we had a great time ,…. From start to finish ,….. the wall the steps was amazing, My family and I had a great time , we walked , we ate,… we had coffee,…. At first, I was nervous,...

At first, I was nervous, but once I arrived, the team made me feel so much better. They were joking around and making me laugh, which really helped ease my nerves. As they got me ready and set up all the equipment, they continued to check on me — even in the sky! Despite the language barrier, they were kind, thoughtful, and reassuring the entire time. Aside from the initial nerves, the experience was absolutely amazing. One I’ll never forget!
