Top Maun Adventure Tours in 2026

This 7-Day Ultimate Botswana Mobile Safari takes travelers through the country's most legendary wildlife hubs—from the vast predator grounds of Mababe to the predator-dense floodplains of Moremi and the serene, lily-lined channels of the Okavango Delta.

The day trip to Moremi is the quickest way to catch a glimpse of what this remarkable reserve has to offer when you do not have enough time to spend the night. Departing from Maun early in the morning, you will be picked up from your place of accommodation in Maun before heading to Moremi Game Reserve to explore the diversity of this scenic and wildlife-rich area. We will proceed to Black Pools and Xini Area. These areas are in the south western part of Moremi. With seasonal and permanent swamp landscape, these two areas are home to a bounty of buffalo herds, elephant, cheetah, African wild dog and good lion prides, to name a few. The wildlife highlights differ from day-to-day and amongst such are leopard, lion, African wild dog, hyena, kudu, waterbuck, giraffe, zebra, elephant, buffalo, rhino and impala – to name a few. Birdlife is quite amazing in the area with birds such as secretary bird, hornbill, lapwing, vulture, African jacana, African fish eagle, hamerkop, and many more.

Blending into the surroundings and enhancing the natural elements around us, while maintaining all the comforts and necessities required to create the perfect safari feel and experience was the aim when designing the Lodge. Large spanning decks are nestled and spread out between majestic acacia tress and the unmistakable “Mogotse” bush resembling the horns of a Gemsbok are customary to the Lodge’s ambience. Unlimited access to the the Boteti River either by simply enjoying a refreshing drink and viewing the hippo, crocodiles or abundant birdlife or by a guided Mokoro (Traditional dug out canoe) or Motorboat cruise down the river. Although spread over a massive area the lodge is smalll and intimate allowing for a personalized experience for all guests and enhanced by skilled staff to attend to your every need. The remote location is situated away from all man made distractions allowing one to truly submerge themselves into the splendor of pristine and untouched natural surroundings.

In the morning you will drive 192 km in a safari game viewer vehicle on a tarred road with a professional guide to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park lying southeast of the Okavango Delta surrounded by the Kalahari Desert. The Makgadikgadi Pan is a salt pan situated in the middle of the dry savanna of north-eastern Botswana, and is one of the largest salt flats in the world.

Year after year, Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai Concession and Savuti welcomes visitors from all corners of the world, some who are curious, some who have heard of the wonders of these wildlife areas from far away. There is a marvellous feeling of anticipation, the thrill of a new world of nature and wildlife about to be unfolded, of having arrived in paradise. This comfortable non-participation private camping safari allows guests to relax without being involved in camp duties. Accompanied by a guide, chef, and a camp assistant, all your needs will be catered for. Accommodation is provided in dome tents (measuring 2.4 meters by 2.4 meters), or meru canvas camping safari tents featuring basic en-suite facilities – including bucket shower, basin and toilet. However, the toilet is often not of the flush type – instead it is a drop toilet (consisting of a hole in the ground with a basic seat above it).
