Snowmobiling at night in Lapland offers a unique perspective — riding through silent, snow-covered forests under the Arctic sky, with the chance to see the Northern Lights above. With Arctic GM, the experience focuses on quality and comfort: small groups, quieter routes away from mass tourism, experienced guides, and premium equipment. Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s. Your evening begins with pickup and transfer to a private base. After instructions, you’ll set off on snowmobiles shared between two guests, with a driver switch during the ride. The route includes around 2 hours of driving through forests and open landscapes, far from city lights. Stops are made to enjoy the surroundings and check the sky — if conditions are favorable, the Northern Lights may appear. After the ride, warm up with hot drinks and light snacks.

Enjoy an action-packed day out in Lapland including four memorable activities and attractions. Ride a snowmobile across the snow-covered plains of the Arctic Circle and visit a reindeer farm and take a short reindeer sleigh ride. Continue to a husky dog farm, hop aboard for a short sled ride, and meet the dogs and puppies. Finally, arrive at the Santa Claus Village and enjoy free time to browse the shops, meet Santa, or post a letter from the official post office.

Don’t just wait around and hope that you see the Northern Lights–get active and go searching for them on the back of a snowmobile. Your guide will take you along paths through the countryside where you’re most likely to see the lights on a particular day. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided to keep you comfortable on this five-hour evening adventure. Hotel pickup is included for your convenience.
