What are people saying about Fushimi Inari Shrine (Fushimi Inari Taisha)

Fabulous experience
This was such an enjoyable trip! We avoided the crowds by going in a separate entrance, and saw shrines and gates virtually on our own. Beautiful walking through forest and bamboo groves. Our guide Kaishin was so helpful and friendly, explaining the background to the shrines. He really was great. There is quite a lot of uphill, though so you need to be reasonably fit and mobile. But it was one of the best things we did in Kyoto!

Good way to spend the day!
Be prepared to do a lot of climbing and bring lots of water. There was a lot of history here and the guide was very knowledgeable.

Our Day in Kyoto
The tour was very nice and Hugo was very informative of all the sights we visited. He thought we had more time, but was able to adjust the pace and still get us back to the ship on time.

A little disappointed
It’s not a guided tour as such you are left to find the places by yourself once you get to location area.
