What are people saying about Kanazawa

Highly recommended!!
I do not normally make reviews, but this time I cannot pass up the chance to tell everyone how great this tour is, particularly of the tour guide Yusashi! He is the best guide ever. I learned a lot about Japanese history, about the principles and elements of a Japanese Garden, about the lives of the different types of Geishas, the stories of wisdom and folly of the leader of the Edo Meiji era, how good leaf is made and many many others. What otherwise may be kind of boring topics, but Yusashi was able to present all the information in a very clear, cohesive, interesting, informative way replete with snippets of anecdotes and humor. He is a school teacher turned great tour guide. I could feel the passion in what he does. And the love he has for his city Kanazawa and his profession.

Great Tour Experience with Hatsune!
My wife and I really enjoyed this tour experience with our tour guide, Hatsune. One thing we enjoyed this particular tour is because once we arrived to Shirakawa-go, we all got to go off on ourselves and tour the village on our own. Whereas other tours were in a big group and had to go where the tour went. Hatsune provided a bunch of valuable info on the bus ride there about the village which set us up to know for when we arrived. I would highly recommend this tour if you would like to be able to go off on your own and explore the village, eat what you want, etc.

Wonderful Tour Guides and Beautiful Towns
Excellent tour. The tour guides were informative and communicative. They gave us maps and plenty of helpful information regarding the two towns we visited prior to exiting the bus. We also had plenty of time to visit the towns and see everything we needed to see. Perfect day!

YOSHI san was incredible!
YOSHI met us at our hotel and was very friendly and helpful. We walked around the city and he took us to view several different spots including samurai living quarters, geisha houses, the beautiful garden built by Maeda san. Yoshi was knowledgeable about the entire city and it's treasured history. He inspired me to do some reading on Maeda san, a leader who played a huge part in the development of the city. Yoshi was an excellent guide, and even provided a LOT of recommendations and useful information for after our tour. We would definitely recommend YOSHI san! Note: you will need a IC card to board some of the city buses.
