Kamakura day
Our trip to Kamakura was excellent! Our guide , Emiko and our driver Tac were very knowledgeable with the history of Tokyo. The Cup of Noodles factory was a lot of fun! Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine and great Buddha were beautiful and an amazing experience. Emiko took us to chopstick stall where we bought beautiful chopsticks and had them engraved. Thank you Emiko and Tac for a memorable experience.

This customizable tour...
This customizable tour worked really well for us and enjoyed the conversation throughout despite the heat! We went to the places we were most interested in iand received thorough explanations from An. She is very knowledgeable, flexible and kind, highly recommend her and would definitely love to tour again with her the places we did not have the time to visit if we’re back in Kamakura.

The Kamakura bus tour is...
The Kamakura bus tour is a great day trip from Tokyo. Although the schedule can feel a bit rushed, there was adequate time to visit the sites at each stop. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of each location and she did an excellent job representing the cultural significance of each site. She was very passionate about Japanese history and deeply respectful of each shrine and temple. It was a scorching humid day in July so the air conditioned bus was also welcomed.

Worth it for the history.
Ken was very knowledgeable and gave good context and history on each of the individual shrines we visited. He also explained the differences in the shrines versus the Buddhist temples... in this case the Kotoku-in ( great buddha ) temple in the center of Kamakura. He also treated us to some Japanese snacks, including Macha soft serve and various snacks including dongo ( skewered mochi with sweet teriyaki ).
