Not to be missed!
This is a wonderful and interesting tour of this region of Scotland. If you travel Europe, you have seen your fair share of castles. Cowder Castle is different in that it is still being lived in and that fact gives it a very unique vibe. You walk through and get a feeling of authenticity that is much different than the “staged” feel you get from most others. The Cairns and the associated mysticism is also quite interesting. We actually saw some observers doing ritual singing and chanting as we toured. In addition, the “Coos” are not to be missed. Last, but certainly not least, our tour guide Loraine did a fantastic job!

Great day
Our guide Andrew was very funny and informative. He’s really good. He knows the places so well and gave us enough time for each location. Wish we could visit a bigger castle than Cawdor. Overall was a nice excursion. Easy to meet up and find them
I strong recommend this tour for people cruising and docking at Invergordon.

Gavin was great and the tour was fantastic
We had a wonderful experience with Gavin, who was knowledgeable and shared a lot of historic insights. We visited a local farm with Highland cows, goats and alpacas. We did the Loch Ness boat ride and spent time at a nice local cafe prior to that. We visit the castle, learnt about it's turbulent past and watched a short movie. We had time for a leisurely lunch and visited a few gift shops. Gavin had a nice sense of humor, recommended a few spots for lunch. Nice vehicle and a comfortable ride.
We finished in time to get back to the boat and it was a good day spent. Recommend

Scottish Highlands
Alister is very knowledgeable and communicates well. He told us exactly what we were going to do which was a little different then advertised but he explained why and asked if we were okay with his plan. He took us to wonderful alternative places, a tiny gin distillery, a beautiful castle. He gave us great history about Collodin, the cairnes, the castle, etc. I would highly recommend this tour company. He was professional and respectful. He called us all by name. Wonderful

Scotland Highlands Standing Stones and Cawder Castle
Go Highlands was an amazing tour company. We traveled in a comfortable, clean, newer van with our small group of six of us—an intimate experience. We were exceptionally comfortable. The Standing Stones provided an opportunity to see a bit of life from 4000 years ago, a sacred space. The Culloden battlefield introduced us to the tragic history of Scotland that took so many lives. Cawder Castle was my favorite. We enjoyed the cafe food and loved the gardens and all the secret places to get lost in. We did not see Lady Cawder but are grateful she opened her home for us to experience. To the best part of our experience, George and his Go Highlands team. His knowledge was exceptional. He shared history and folklore and local culture. One of the best tours I have experienced

Best tour from Invergordon, perfect as shore excursion
We had a fantastic, customized experience with great sights and a fabulous guide. We ended up on a tour on our own with Alistair as our guide. Throughout the day he share interesting facts and history about the places we were visiting along with the Highlands, and Scotlamd in general. He was congenial and accommodating, adjusting the tour timing to suit our interests.

Fantastic Day in Scotland!
This tour covers a lot of sights and note that you will need pay for some entrances if you so desire. Also, if you are an Outlander fan, you will not cover the filming sights. However, this is an excellent tour putting you in that period of history.
Sara our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was very good with the pacing of the tour. It ended on a great note, by Loch Ness with a "wee dram".

Beautiful Highlands
This was a great excursion. We got picked up from the port. Danny, our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided history of all the area we visited or passed by. He manages our time well. We didn't feel rushed. As a matter of fact because there were just 6 of us in the minivan (plenty of room) we even have extra time to walk around the beautiful city of Inverness to eat and shop.
We got to see the Highland cows at Robinson's farm, which was awesome!
Loch Ness was a sight to behold! The view was spectacular. The water is clear, however we didn't see " Nessie".
Next stopped was the historical Culloden battlefield, we walked around the field and even have time to have lunch afterwards.
Then off to Clava Cairns to see the ancient standing stone and burial cairns. Afterwards we went for a self guided tour of Cawdor Castle , we were provided with an audio device to listen to while walking inside the castle. The castle gardens are beautiful and well maintained.
We had an enjoyable drive through out the beautiful countryside . Thank you Danny. No boring moment. This was one of our best Scotland excursion. I highly recommend this tour.
And of course we got back to our ship with plenty of time to spare!

Fantastic experience!
We toured with Mike and he was wonderful! Very kind and knowledgeable about the area. Complete professional and provided additional stops as time allowed. He was very aware of ships time frame and we felt confident getting back on time with him as the driver. He completed the trip with a toast and sweet treat that was not expected but was also very nice! Highly recommend this excursion.

Good Tour and Great Value
Tour had a bit of everything that we were looking for - great scenery driving through the Scottish Highlands, stops at a castle and Loch Ness. Fiona was very knowledgeable and super funny and she even stopped for us to look at some Highland cows because she knew that our kids loved them. So thoughtful and added just that little bit of attention. It was also half the cost of our cruise offered excursion and about twice as long. Pick up from the cruise terminal (just go outside and look for the green umbrella) and drop off were easy and efficient. I would recommend!

We were able to tailor...
We were able to tailor the excursion to accommodate a late departure from the ship and still make it to the castle to see the hawk and falcon demonstration. We had plenty of time at the castle. The towns we visited were quaint with boutique shops. We also stopped at a beach. Johnny was willing to wait for us to do a little shopping near the port, but we opted to walk the few blocks back to the ship. Johnny shared his knowledge of Scotland throughout the tour. We had a lovely day😁.

Love the Local Flair
Fiona was great!!! The tour felt personalized even though it was for a random group of people. Learning lots of history from someone that lives and works in the area was fantastic. My dad and I had Witches of Scotland tartan scarves made before this trip. So getting to meet a local (our tour guide) wearing it and that worked at Prickly Thistle where it was made was a surreal bonus!
We were also back in plenty of time to meet our ship!
