Important Note: This cruise is primarily for night viewing. The onboard buffet is a convenient dining option; guests particular about culinary quality or ambience should take note of this. For the best buffet experience, we recommend boarding promptly from 17:00. · A Huangpu River night cruise is the top way to enjoy the scenery and a must-do in Shanghai. Admire the illuminated historical architecture of The Bund and the modern skyscrapers of Lujiazui for a unique visual feast. To enhance the customer experience, starting October 26, 2026, we have added the Five-Star Crystal Princess cruise option. Boarding at the same pier, the Crystal Princess offers higher-quality dining and fewer passengers than the Dragon Boat (the Dragon Boat carries up to 1,000 passengers, while the Crystal Princess carries a maximum of 350), providing a superior experience.

Discover Hangzhou’s “matcha lake,” where tall trees rise from emerald-green water. In spring and summer, it’s green on green; in autumn, golden leaves add a whole new glow. Stroll along the boardwalks, watch ducks glide by, or grab a paddle and explore by kayak. With sunlight filtering through the trees, you won’t need a filter—just a little extra space on your camera roll. One of the nicest ways to enjoy the water forest is on foot. Follow the wooden boardwalks, stop for photos, and take in the view from different angles. Some spots make you want to take a wide shot of the whole forest. Others are all about the little details: a reflection, a patch of sunlight, or a duck swimming between the trees. There’s no need to rush from one photo spot to the next. Just listen to the birds, and watch the light move across the water. If you’ve already explored West Lake and want a different kind of day out, Qingshan Lake is a lovely addition to your Hangzhou trip.
