All Bento Goncalves Tours & Excursions in 2026

Most Vale dos Vinhedos tours include lunch, but usually in a restaurant located between winery stops—served separately from the wines. This four-course meal at a family-run winery in Faria Lemos does things differently—each course is a family recipe paired to a specific wine (made on-site), with family members present at the meal to discuss what's in your glass and how the winery operates.

Bento Gonçalves is home to the Caminhos de Pedra, a tourist route with the largest collection of Italian colonial stone architecture in Brazil. While many group tours rush you from place to place, this customizable option is exclusive to you, allowing you to linger in the sections that interest you most. Along the way, visit historic stone houses, sample local produce (own expense), or take a break to admire the scenery.

Most Vale dos Vinhedos tours follow the same circuit of the region's largest wineries, with group buses operating on tight schedules. This private tour from Bento Gonçalves keeps things relaxed with a driver-guide who builds the day around you—choosing wineries based on what you want to taste, mixing larger producers with smaller boutique vineyards, and setting the pace to suit your needs.

Owner of the vehicle is the driver himself. Private and exclusive tour with flexibility of time and possibility to customize itinerary.

Serra Gaúcha is considered one of Brazil’s premier wine-growing regions, but knowing where the go takes insider knowledge. Make the most of your time with this private tour from Bento Gonçalves with a local driver-guide. Visit a century-old winery and the largest sparkling wine cellar in the area, or customize your visit to your interests.

Most Vale dos Vinhedos visits race through three or four wineries in a day with brief tastings at each. This single-winery experience runs the opposite way—choose six wines from a menu with a variety of options, then taste them all in one sitting with a sommelier or enologist (winemaking expert) guiding the discussion of grapes, regions, and what makes each varietal distinct.

Vale dos Vinhedos's biggest names handle heavy bus-tour traffic, while smaller family operations—many tracing back to 19th-century Italian immigrants—offer a different kind of visit, often with the winemaker showing you the cellar themselves. Head out from Bento Gonçalves with a driver-guide who knows the producers personally, and customizes the route and stops to suit your preferences.

Many Bento Gonçalves wine tours lock you into a set itinerary with no choice over tastings, but this customizable, private option is entirely tailored to you. Join a local driver-guide and set out to a selection of wineries, each one based on your preferences. And, as you only pay for the tastings you want to try, there's no money wasted on uninspiring pours.
