What are people saying about Belize City

Belize City Food Tour a must do!
When you leave the cruise ship at its peak offloading times, the tenders are leaving about every 10-15 minutes. It is about a 20-minute ride into Belize City, then about another 5-minutes to dock. Upon arriving into Belize City, we arrived at Terminal 4. We had to meet up outside of Terminal 1. I thought this would be a long walk, but one of the tender workers advised it was about a 2-minute walk away. We met Aaron, our Belize Tour driver right outside the terminal. We waited for about 5-minutes for the other guest; there were six of us in the group. It was a short walk to the air-conditioned van. There was a large colorful “Belize” sign near the van and Aaron encouraged everyone to get some pictures. The tour was of the area, good and bad. We stopped at a fruit stand and Aaron retrieved some fresh pineapples and cantaloupe. We then stopped at a local food place and Aaron got some empanadas with this diced onion topping (really good) you could put on it. Then there were the “taquitos”. Aaron said they are not taquitos, but they sure looked like them. It seems like every food tour in Belize City we end up at Travellers Rum Factory. This was okay with us, as my wife really likes their Cashew Wine, so we got a couple of bottles. We then stopped at a local ice cream shop, but just like Traveller, it seems like we keep coming back to this spot. The ice cream is great and seems to be a local favorite. Our tour was great, Aaron was a very nice guy, had a lot of knowledge of his country. He was open to any questions and had a great sense of humor. It was about a 3-hour tour, we learned a lot more of the city, as this was our second food tour. To Aaron, 5 Star Cave Tubing and Viator, thank you for the wonderful time in Belize City.

Exceptional
Luis was nothing but kind and a great guide. The temples are pretty cool to see a bit underwhelming compared to some of the ones completely unearthed in Mexico. Now the cave tubing is where the magic is. Our guide Junior was nothing but an amazing human. Not only did he have patience with my injured foot but gave me nothing but kindness helping, making sure I stayed safe. We saw howler monkeys, bats, toucans…and the caves are stunning!!! Luis grabbed us after our cave trip and took us up the road to a really delicious local lunch. We really enjoyed the day.

Once in a lifetime cave tubing.
Wonderful trip through the caves. Perfect for a HOT day. The boys were great and really took care of us. We are 75 & 79. (Fit and somewhat independent) The floating down stream at the end was so relaxing. Lunch was great and the water very much appreciated. You will not regret booking this trip. It’s a must.

Amazing!
Antuan is a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable, fun, kind and considerate. After visiting Altun Ha we went to his Mom's beautiful restaurant where she made a delicious lunch for us. She had a vegan plate for me (per request) of rice & beans, plantains, sweet potato and a salad. This wasn't a sad vegan plate like some places give you, it was full and amazing. My friends loved their lunches which included chicken and potato salad. We ended the day with a short walk through the most beautiful jungle and cave tubing. So glad we skipped a large company and chose this family business to help us experience a bit of Belize's incredible jungle, history, culture and food. There are a ton of tours out there, this is the one to take!

Belize City is famous for its beauty, wildlife, history, and cuisine, and Belize City tours serve up all of it—often with a thrill. Why walk through caves when you can explore Mother Nature’s subterranean tunnels by tube or kayak? Why ride a crowded bus through the rainforest when you can zipline through the canopy? Look (and listen) for howler monkeys, snorkel Shark Ray Alley, or travel back in time to the Mayan ruins of Altun Ha and Lamanai. Finally, don’t miss a food tour back in Belize City. Your days (and belly) will fill up all too quickly.
