What are people saying about Bangalore

Bangalore in a nutshell with a fantastic guide
I had only one day in Bangalore, so I decided to go for this short walking tour. My personal highlight was the flower market. Incredibly colorful! And the garlands they make for Hindu or Muslim occasions are true works of art!
The biggest asset however was my guide Varun. Having booked a trainee guide, I expected a young, rather inexperienced person. But Varun is a mature and extremely knowledgable guide. He did not only explain very well everything we saw, but also gave deep insights in the underlying spiritual concepts, as well historical, geographical and political contexts. We had such fascinating conversations that after the end of the tour we continued our discussion over a few beers until the evening... Overall a truly memorable experience and a highly recommended tour!

Taste the flavors of India in wonderful day trip.
You should definitely book this trip.
If you do, I hope that you find, as I did, that from the long car ride along the countryside to the authentic foods, both at breakfast and at lunch, the palace and market experiences along with the knowledgeable and entertaining anecdotes of the host, that you'll come away from your cultural experience today feeling like you got a good sampling of what India has been and has to offer. The experience is very colorful in both the metaphoric and physical ways. The palace experience is extraordinary and is a feast for the eyes to look upon as are the temples. And of course, the flower market gives you a tiny window into the past.
The host praveen was very knowledgeable and kind and entertaining about over his different experiences with the guards to India in general and Bangalore specifically.

Walking with Purpose
I was grateful for the opportunity to experience this tour. It gave me a genuine insight into a side of Bengaluru I hadn’t experienced before, while showcasing the incredible work of the Swabhimaan NGO. Learning how they support local families through education, healthcare and food programs to help address everyday challenges and improve access to opportunity was both inspiring and humbling.
Walking through Ejipura with Dia and Venkat, their stories brought the community to life. The warmth with which they were greeted by residents spoke volumes about the trust and respect they’ve earned. I left with a deeper appreciation of the resilience, generosity and spirit of this remarkable community. I highly recommend this tour.

An experience and a half !!
I genuinely can't recommend the Bangalore Through the Ages tour enough. It was an amazing experience from start to finish.
Praveen is by far one of the best tour guides I've met. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Bangalore, India, and its history—truly taking you through the ages with fascinating stories and insights. His passion for history really shines through, and he's also such a warm, kind, and friendly person.
What impressed us even more was that we booked at the very last minute, just before midnight, and he still managed to fit us into a tour. That level of dedication and flexibility made the experience even more special.
If you're visiting Bangalore and want to understand the city's rich history and culture, this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Praveen, for such an unforgettable day!

A great way to learn a lot, in not a lot of time.
I had a great time w Raghu; it turned out I was the only person on the tour so it was extra special. Raghu took the time to explain everything to me so I left w a much better appreciation for the local culture, religion and way of life. He even treated me to a local coffee and escorted me to my car to return to the hotel! A gentleman.

I had a wonderful day exploring Bangalore with Divakar. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the city’s history, culture, and landmarks. From the beautiful Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Bull Temple to ISKCON Temple and Bangalore Palace, every stop was well explained and never felt rushed. Divakar was happy to answer my questions and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for a great introduction to Bangalore, I highly recommend this tour and especially Divakar as your guide!

Great way to get to know Bengaluru better!
I had a great experience on this tour of Bengaluru, even though I’ve been to the city a few times I feel like I got to know it better! Sunil was an excellent tour guide, sharing lots of knowledge about each place we visited. I felt very comfortable and safe during the whole time. I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends!

We started at 830 am, my driver/guide Bharath met me at my hotel and we immediately proceeded to Somnathpur. The Temple was the highlight of my trip. There we bypassed the line and met the local guide who was very knowledgeable and gave great descriptions of the building and shrines. After we left lunch in Mysore eating south Indian food on banana leaf, another highlight. Followed by a tour of the Mysore Palace, with another great local guide. Must also mention when visiting India, felt very comfortable and safe while Bharath was driving! Well worth the time if you have a day available in Bangalore

A great first day in Bangalore!
Divakar picked us up from our hotel promptly and was immediately friendly and engaging. He had lots to talk about and was very enthusiastic. We saw and tasted and experienced things so foreign to us and that was incredibly appreciated. We found the local people so friendly and never once felt in any danger though we did experience much hustle and bustle. Loved it!!

Prashant is an incredibly knowledgeable and kind tour guide and Kumar a sweet and trustworthy driver. I learned so much about the history of Bangalaru and local mythology. The tour was perfectly planned, efficient, and the food we ate was delicious. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and relaxed the whole time. They also let me customize the stops on the tour to my preferences.

A sweet tour and different side of Bangalore
Our tour guide was Ayannar. He was super sweet and accommodating when we asked to change the time. He also helped us to navigate the busy Sunday afternoon to get to the meeting spot Ayannar is a history buff and shared history and religion insights along the way. He is super smart.
Given that it was a Sunday the markets were super crowded and not being local to India it was a challenge navigating through the large crowds. If you are doing this tour I recommend doing it during the week days when it’s less crowded. The KR Market and area around is a stark contrast to staying near UB City and walking down to MG Road area. It was interesting for our group to see.

Great full-day tour!
The guide (Naveen) was very knowledgeable about the city and history. He knew a lot about every place we visited. He was always asking if we were walking too much or if I needed a food/drink break. He took me to two great spots for food and chai. He was very flexible when I wanted to adjust the tour a little! Overall a great experience.
