Absolute complete experience from start to finish, tour guide was informative and very warm. All persons involved were so welcoming and kind, food and drinks on point for experience and the wind down at the Beach club was icing on top of the cake

Unimpressive, uninteresting and dirty. Bathroom on bus did not work so we had to hold it. Life jackets were extremely dirty, moldy and broken. Cenotes were unimpressive as there are much nicer and better ones in the state of FL. Salt flats the same - better ones in UT, NV and CA, etc. Wild life on this excursion consisted of raccoons, birds, bats and fish. Mayan ruins were unkept and small, unimpressive compared to other Mayan ruins. Food at Sergios beach house was not good. In general, we found Progreso to be quite dirty everywhere, uninteresting, and everyone asking for tips. Much better to just see these things out of Cancun and Cozumel. Skip Progreso, bleh.

Sergio’s 5-in-1 tour was absolutely incredible! We had the most wonderful time with Jesus and his family
Chelsea_G, Apr 2026
Jesus was a wonderful tour guide and a very safe, patient driver with our group. The beach house was exactly what we needed to relax after a full day in the sun touring the salt flats and Mayan ruins.
The bartender was incredibly friendly and made some delicious margaritas (and shots — can’t forget to mention those!). The pool and bathrooms were clean, and we felt completely safe and comfortable unwinding there. The tacos and sides were filling and absolutely delicious.
I highly recommend spending your day on this tour and supporting this wonderful, multi‑generational, family‑run experience.

It is very safe and worth every penny. we got to see so many places in one day. The beach house at the end with all you can eat food and drink drinks was the cherry on top.

Jesus was great! We enjoyed our trip! He was very patient considering we had 5 kids (3,5,20,22,&16). It was very educationally and something different and enjoyable versus just spending all day on the beach! Would def recommend!

I had an absolutely amazing experience on the sergio’s Five in One tour in Progreso, Mexico! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and enjoyable. The tour was incredibly informative I learned so much about the local culture, history, and hidden gems that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own.
The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that truly made the experience even more memorable. The bus was clean and super comfortable, which made getting from place to place relaxing and stress-free.
What really stood out were the tour guides they were so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They made everyone feel included and kept the energy fun the entire time.
I genuinely fell in love with Mexico even more after this experience. If you’re visiting Progreso, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommend!

The 5 in 1 tour was amazing for my family group of 9, ranging in age from 5-64.
Our guide, Jesus, from Sergio's contacted us 4 days prior to our reservation to explain the local time difference compared to our ship's time. He confirmed our meeting place with instructions and guaranteed our return to the ship 1 hour prior to departure from the port. We were picked up in a luxurious bus with very comfortable seats and air conditioning by our driver Ricardo accompanied by Jesus.
We saw flamingos, went to a salt flat, a fresh water spring accessed by a short boat ride and raccoons, Mayan ruins, and Sergio's Beach house.
At the beach house we had an endless buffet of home made food made by Jesus's grandmother and an open drink area. There was a beautiful swimming pool, games all set up, lounge chairs, beach front area with lounge chairs, and a covered pavillion with tables and chairs to sit and eat. Very nice bathroom to use and change.
They even had massages available for a very low fee of $30. We just didn't happen to add that, but the guy that did sure got his money's worth.
We were returned to the port exactly at 1 hour prior to our departure.
Our family highly recommends this tour and company.

Best and friendliest place to go!! I went with a group of friends. There was so much to see and very informative.
Erin_H, Mar 2026
We were not on a cruise so finding the van at pick up was tricky. Part of it was the language barrier. But once we found the guide, Jesus was great and the tour was an excellent way to spend a cool, windy and rainy day. The ruins were cool to see, mining for salt was a fun experience and we loved swimming in the cenotes.
The food and drinks were very good. The driver made sure we knew where we were getting dropped off to get back to our place in Progreso.
Lori_W, Mar 2026
Very good tour with stops to get out of the van and explore. The last stop at the beach house was an excellent way to end the tour.Pick up time and drop off were right on schedule. Jesus was a great guide.
Amber_P, Mar 2026
It was a chill day, we toured, we wandered, we took photos, we bought souvenirs. If you want a more authentic experience, this is it.
Tammy_H, Mar 2026
There was no explanation of what we seen, no information shared. Stops were not as described in the package. Time at the beach house was too long since the pool was too cold to enjoy. Would not do this tour again or refer to a friend

Well organized and good value. UVA was a great guide and nice to spend some time with. I would recommend this excursion

We had a great time. Uvalde was very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed visiting ruins, stopping by salt ponds and seeing how salt is collected, taking a very short boat ride to an island with several cenotes and raccoon-like animals. We finished at Sergio’s beach house with beach access, a pool, with lots of seating including all you can eat/drink buffet and bar. Everyone was great. He handled several issues (forgotten phone, wrong bus, ) with kindness and grace. We will book with them again

My daughter and I booked on 1/7/26. Our guide, Jesus, was an absolute pleasure and so knowledgeable! From local legends, to history, to the name of the local plants, he thrilled us all day with facts and interesting tidbits. We enjoyed getting to know him and each stop was a new adventure!
At the beach house, the fish tacos were incredible, the drinks were delicious and strong, and I had the most incredible 30 minute massage from a beautiful lady named Dory. It was the perfect end to a wonderful day.
I am so grateful that we booked this tour. It made the entire trip extra special and was worth every penny we paid. Thank you again, Jesus! We hope to see you and your family again in the future!

Communication was poor by the guide. Did not inform us of where we we're headed from stop to stop. Time change made it confusing. Bus was 40 people or more and description says small group. The beach club was good and food and open bar excellent. Not alot to do in Progresso, so would still recommend it.

We can not say enough about our Amazing day in Progreso! Our guide, Jesus, made the experience so incredible!! Jesus met us at the port, and it was just the five of us in his very comfortable van. We started at the El Corchito ecopark/Reserva Natural, where we got to take a small boat over to explore a natural spring and see local critters related to racoons, lemurs, and chickens. We beat the big groups from the Carnival excursions, so we had the place to ourselves. While we were there, we got to see how a thatched roof is replaced, which was cool. Next, we went to Saunera Xtampu, where we got to see pools of water colored by pink algae. The shrimp eat the algae; the flamingos eat the shrimp; and the flamingos turn pink! A couple of us even went into the pools with our guide Paco, who helped us "mine" pink salt from the bottom! So cool!! We got to crush the salt and sample some local honey. Then we were treated to a fresh taco of homemade corn tortillas, salsa, guacamole, and pork... Delicious! Everyone was so welcoming and hospitable, we didn't want to leave. Next, we got to experience some Amazing Mayan ruins. We climbed to the top and got a great view, while appreciating the size and scope. We learned about how the mangrove trees protect the area from erosion, and we all enjoyed exploring. Sergio's Beach House was more than a stop; it was a destination! Jesus is one of Sergio's grandsons, and this place is a true family business. Mom and Grandma were cooking up a delicious buffet full of variety, while uncles were tending bar and making yummy drinks - all included in our tour fee! Since it was Christmas, we even got tequila shots served by the Grinch! :D The kids had lots of fun with a pinata, we walked into the Gulf, enjoyed lunch in the shade, and had a refreshing swim in the beautiful pool. We never wanted to leave!! It was already such a satisfying day that we only stayed at the port market (our final stop) long enough to get some photos before heading to the boat, happy and fulfilled. Highly recommend!

Could not have asked for more, the guide promptly met us at the pier, clean van ride, small group which allowed us to spend the most time at each stop, and never felt rushed. The beach club was fun, but did not have much time there, would have loved a bit more time, but this was the “fault” of our cruise ship leaving sooner than we expected due to time difference- a huge thank you to our guide for making sure we had ample time to get back to port with no issues- thoroughly enjoyed, and would highly recommended

Great tour!! Very knowledgeable guide. Had a wonderful time. Felt very safe with the small family owned business.
Doug_W, Jul 2025
It was easy anybody can do it. Jesus was wonderful. We had so much fun we had 6 adults and 4 kids. Everybody enjoyed it .
Derek_E, Jul 2025
We had considered a similar excursion through our cruise line but wanted to avoid the large crowds. This tour, though slightly more expensive, was worth every penny! We got incredibly lucky and had Jesus as our host for a private family tour. He was wonderful, answering all our questions and getting us to each site before the massive tour buses arrived.
Honestly, based on what I'd read online, Progreso didn't seem like a particularly exciting stop. However, Jesus and his team transformed it into one of the best excursions we've ever experienced! It was a blast, followed by a relaxing swim at the beach club. The food was good, the drinks were cold, and our kids had an absolute blast. I'd book this tour again in a heartbeat.

We had a fabulous time! Uvaldo our guide did an excellent job narrating our trip and telling of his community and Mayan heritage. The previous nights weather cancelled one part of our tour but who can change the weather? Even so we loved the hospitality, delicious food, cold drinks, and hanging beachside/poolside at Sergio’s! Would recommend it to all ages! Muchas gracias for a wonderful day in Progreso!

Excellent personal service. Our driver was informative and took care of our needs. Enjoyed Sergio’s place.
Joyce_L, Jun 2025
I learned a lot about the history about the areas we toured because our tour guide Uva was wonderful and gave an excellent presentation,; he was very pleasant and resourceful.
Sonja_B, Apr 2025
My husband and I were the only ones to book from our Cruise so Jesus gave us a more personal guide through Progreso. For the all you can buffet they accomadated us as we don't eat shellfish or pork so we were able still eat delicious food too. Jesus took great care of us and was extremely patient and knowledgeable about all things. I would definitely recommend this tour. When we come back we're expecting to see Jesus again. 10 Stars!!!
Donald_L, Apr 2025
It was basic at best. The stuff was interesting but our guide was lackluster. Very little personality or interaction before taking off or driving (Jesus). We drove for 45 minutes to the ruins but along the way there was no conversation or details of what we were seeing or driving past. All we knew was we were heading to try ruins first. Then from stop to stop we didn’t really get much details on what we were about to see or do. We arrived, we got out, were told to walk and then boarded a boat or walked to the salt area with no additional details from him. He wasn’t unfriendly, just didn’t seem like a tour guide. Then we ended our trip at Sergio’s Beach house which wasn’t bad just not what we expected. Everyone there was fun and engaging but it was basic. It had a small beach area. Overall Progresso in general was very underwhelming.

Sergio's grandson Jesus was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable and attentive. We started our journey on Carnival Breeze and picked this excursion through Viator because of the reviews. 1st stop was the ponds at a nature reserve... raccoons, crystal clear water, and plenty of fish. Clean bathrooms and snacks available. 2nd was the salt flats.... really cool experience. Our group was small and Jesus was close to the owner and that allowed us the opportunity to walk in the salt water. The larger tour busses owned by other companies did not get that experience (and probably paid more than we did). We purchased large bags of salt rock for $3 ea. And ate tacos cooked by the owner of the property. 3rd we went to Xcampo ruins... also a cool experience. No running water here. Bathrooms stunk. Iguanas everywhere and again Jesus was very knowledgeable of the history. 4th we seen Flamingos on the way back to Progeso. Finally we arrived at the Beach House. Incredible views... here we ate food cooked by the family buffet style, outdoor bar, pool, and steps down into the water. This is literally a large beach house in the middle of a neighborhood. Definitely felt safe and here we met Sergio and other members of the family. Hands down this was a great experience.

This was great excursion. We enjoyed every stop. Jesus was an excellent guide. He picked us up at the cruise port. The mango margaritas were outstanding.

This was such an amazing tour. Jesus was very attentive to everything we could need and was so knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to help us out.
