Meeting Eteanne and having the opportunity for him to tell us, his island was one of the highlights of our entire trip in Chile. We can’t thank him enough for giving us his kindness, wisdom, and experience of a lifetime.. he is one of the best tour experiences that we have ever had. Thank you from the bottom of our heart Sand and Fred ❤️❤️❤️.

Excellent tour highlights, Easter island. Our guide Gabriel was knowledgeable and very friendly. He provided door-to-door service our hotel. Private tour provided advantages as it allowed us to adjust itinerary according to our preference.

A wonderful 2 days exploring the island. Our tour guide Yeni was fabulous. She was so full of information and took the time to show us around the island she calls home. She was passionate, knowledgeable and incredibly accomodating. Definitely recommend paying the extra for the smaller private tour. Could not recommend this tour or our tour guide enough!

Our guide was Yeni. She is Rapa Nui, and a US educated anthropologist. She is AMAZING. The two day schedule she put together for us was perfect! Essentially half the island one day and the rest on day two. She allowed us to set the pace. We learned all about the different tribes and rituals while visiting numerous sites each day. The highlight would have to be visiting the Moai quarry, Rano a Raraku, and Tonariki, the platform with the 15 moai. I highly recommend this tour!!!

While expensive, this tour was well worth the price. Our guide, Yani, was phenomenal. If the other guides are like her, you will be in great hands. She was knowledgeable, kind, and knows everyone on the island, so interactions with park rangers were like meeting old friends or family members. She helped us out in getting to the airport after lunch to retrieve our son’s late luggage, recommended an amazing local empenada place (get the octopus) and was great when our son wasn’t feeling well. We hit all the major sites, got great information, and really enjoyed our two days. We highly recommend this tour.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you had a great experience with Yenicet. She truly loves sharing the history and culture of Rapa Nui, and we’re glad she made your tour even more special.

AMAZING! 100% would recommend doing this with Yeni and ChiChi. They were PHENONOMAL! The knowledge, the history, their flexibility. Truly fantastic experience!

We were treated to a comprehensive, thoughtful tour by Kohu, who grew up in Rapa Nui and has big ambitions to improve the horticulture and ecosystems of the island. He showed us his farm and shared a lot about daily life on the island. His knowledge of archeological and oral history of the Rapa Nui people was incredible, and being a private tour, we got to hear a lot more of it. To top it off, his father is the archaeologist who was a driving force behind restoring the 15 Moai, and his personal view of it really brought Rapa Nui's past and current culture to life!

This tour is an excellent way to see all the highlights of the island and learn about the fascinating history and culture of Rapa Nui. Yoyo Tuki was our guide and he did an outstanding job of sharing his in-depth knowledge and passion for his culture. The layout of the tour is very balanced and it never feels too long or too rushed. You’ll spend a fair amount on each site and learn a lot each time. It’s certainly not cheap but you get the dedication and convenience of having a private tour guide and transportation that will look after you at all times. Worth every penny!

It’s Impossible to tour Easter Island/Rapa Nui in a single day. There is just too much to take in. So, hiring a guide is highly recommend – especially if, like us, this is your first trip to this magical Island. And the BEST guide is Joaquin Soler! Joaquin is a native of Rapa Nui and just has to be the most knowledgeable and passionate advocate. He needs to be the face of Rapa Nui tourism. He is an archaeologist & historian who shares so much about the Island’s history, culture and people. And he has very strong mana – ask him when you see him. This is the most memorable adventure we have ever had. Thank you, Joaquin!!

joaquin Was an amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable and passionate. He was so patient with my father who has done walking limitations. We enjoyed every aspect of this two day tour. It was retirement bucket list adventure for my dad and this private tour lead by joaquin made his dreams come true!
Curtis_S, Apr 2024
Yoyo is an incredible tour guide who I highly recommend. He is a native Polynesian and has vast historical and family history to share at the many sites we visited.
Carol_M, Mar 2024
This was a good way to see Easter Island without having to rent a vehicle or see things piecemeal on a few separate tours. We feel like we saw everything we needed to see because we won't be back again !
Also, we were able to see things without too many people around at the sites - which is important to my husband since he takes a lot of photos and is always needing to remove people from photoshop. This helped a lot !
It was at a good pace and the guide was very knowledgeable.

We had the true pleasure of having Joaquin Soler Hotu as our tour guide for this private 2 day tour and what a wonderful experience it was! His knowledge of the island and the Rapa Nui culture made this trip more magical and incredibly informative! Joaquin allowed for us to take our time exploring the different sights, provided additional inside knowledge on great photography spots, and went above & beyond what the tour included by taking us to off the beaten path locations that only locals know which made for some incredible photography!!
Some examples on how Joaquin made our trip more amazing was his attention to detail when explaining the history of Rapa Nui, personal attention towards us which included getting fresh aloe to aid with sunburns and taking us to great restaurants which he knew the chefs well allowing us to have delicious local cuisine! After our tour ended, we were able to hire Joaquin a 3rd day to take us to even more amazing island sites that were not part of the tour including experiencing a magnificent sunrise at Ahu Tongariki.
We 1000% recommend Joaquin Soler Hotu as a tour guide for your Easter Island visit and this Viator itinerary which is very comprehensive. THANK YOU!! / ¡Māuru-uru!

Thanks to an amazing guide (Andres), I was privileged to get a unique tour into literally every aspect of the history of this island. Warmly recommended!

If you have the luck in getting Alberto as your guide - you are in for the treat of a lifetime. He was so knowledgeable in history, geology, botany, archeology - there was not a question we asked he could not answer, even if the answer was "there are multiple theories on that topic!"
He is a safe driver, courteous, and gives clear instruction when needed during our exploration. Additionally, he is humourous and takes excellent photos - which made our time together just perfect. This is the perfect tour for those who are looking for a cultural education done with respect to Rapa Nui as an ever changing people. Worth every penny - oh and he knows the best spot for lunch!

Andres was very knowledgeable about everything. He had very deep and profound answers to almost all of my questions. He was also happy to pick me up and drop me off at other parts of the town instead of the hostel as the hostel was quite far from the main centre. He even gave me recommendations on where to eat while in Rapa Nui. Would recommend for anyone that has two full days to spent in Easter Island.
David_C, Jan 2024
Easter Island is a special and unique experience but the tour guide,Andreas made it the best tour experience I have ever had. His in-depth knowledge and explanations of everything we saw made a special tour into something my wife and I will never forget.

I have to say this was one of the most amazing tour I’ve done.
I was only on the island for 3 days, so I did this 2 day tour of Easter island. And you definitely get to see all island and all the famous sites, I was very speechless and very happy:
Thanks to Andres, and Zoe for such a great day on the tours you were both very knowledgeable of the island and it’s sites.

The guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The owner has you enjoy a local lunch at his personal residence. They treat you like family. I would recommend this tour. One of the best operators I’ve had the pleasure of using.
Maria_E, Jan 2020
I do highly recommend this tour! We had right amount of time to see all of the most exsighting places of Rapa Nui Island, were transported in a comfortable van and acompanied by a very good tour guide who really knows the history and culture of the Island. Also we had dinner with islanders family and really enjoyed their singing and playing a guitar - it was fantastic! Thank you very much!

Informative, historically and culturally. Generally a great experience. Lunch could definitely improve, although setting was great .

We booked the two day tour to get a better overview of Easter Island. We were well rewarded. We had different guides each day, but each was excellent. They explained the history of the island and the restoration of the moai. The vans were comfortable, the pace was well suited to the group. And added bonus was that the owners of the company, Easter Island Travel, invited us to lunch at their home both days. It was an opportunity to interact on a different level with local residents. I would recommend the tour.
revelh, Nov 2019
our two day tour of Easter Island was excellent. Our guide Franco was knowledgeable, personable and attentive. The cultural sites and scenery far exceeded my expectations. Lunch with a local family was special. The other people on the tour were great. There is a lot of walking on rough ground, up and down some steep hills so wear good strong shoes. I would really recommend the tour to ensure you get the best out of visiting the cultural sites. Franco knew his history, culture and explained every thing so well, giving us time to take photos and enjoy everything. An added bonus was seeing whales just off the coast. Couldn't fault anything - loved every moment.

One of the best experiences you can have one the island
Atwood day trip is a must. You see everything you want in a relaxed way. Both guides Maeva and Franco were friendly and knew everything we asked them. The group was small enough to be a nice company.
The unexpected highlight though was the lunch in a Rapa Nui style! Thanks for everything!

This tour is from the easter island travel company which you can find a website for with a quick search online for more details about the tours. I did the 2 day package which is tour A and tour B on their website. The first day of tours, tour A, was well... partly a bit boring... It started off with not the best guide.. he didn't know how to drive well and he told us that he was 'not great at remembering years' so I was very unsure how accurately he was depicting the history. He also didn't really guide us around and instead let us free roam while he was on his cellphone in the back. Worst of all, we ended the day by skipping one of the spots(one of the most beautiful spots) on the tour. The second day of the tour was much better, tour B. I loved our guide, the girl of the group. She was enthusiastic and upbeat the whole time. She walked us around and really listened to our questions. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Quality wise, tour B was much better and has all of the stuff you are excited to see. Both days, however, you actually do get lunch and get to meet the owner and his family. They are very friendly and will sing you traditional songs!
Costanza_S, Sept 2019
I did both tours and both had very well prepared young local guides who passionately made us discover the beauty of this remote place. Really recommended for who just like me might have only 3 days to experience the place
