Board the Harbour Hopper, a renovated amphibious vehicle from the Vietnam War era, at the Halifax Ferry Terminal. Take a seat on the covered open deck for great views of the city's top attractions. The tour begins on land in Halifax’s historic district downtown. Flower-filled Halifax Public Gardens is a lovely example of a Victorian-era garden, with its linden and elm trees, wrought-iron gates, bandstand, fountains and statues.

While learning about Halifax's naval history, you'll enjoy waterfront views of navy ships and submarines. It is easy to do and relax and get a very good overview.
Well organised and duration was 90 minutes.
The Hopper was comfortable
It was 49° and raining and the tours should’ve been canceled. We asked if we could cancel our tour and was told no, so it was either go on the cold wet rainy tour or lose $320. They offered us one poncho for the four of us after I specifically asked for it. The tour guide young girl was very nice and sweet however extremely hard to understand because she talked very quickly with the Mike touching her lips. I’m sure she had a lot of useful information but was hard to understand.
Mostly a ride through the town. The plunge into the water was fun for a few seconds, then a ride in the water to view the harbor.

The tour was wonderful and packed with fascinating historical information about Halifax. Both the driver and our tour guide, Abi, were absolutely amazing, friendly, and welcoming. The entire experience was filled with laughter, fun, and great jokes, making it both educational and entertaining. Highly recommended!
Abigail was an unexpected (since we received a link to download the audio guide) and delightful live guide. We appreciated her humor and wealth of knowledge. Hope one day to return to experience the water portion (too windy).

Halifax is very hilly and this tour made it easy to see Citadel Hill and other areas without walking or driving.

extremely fun, well organized, staff was really great! I learned very much about the beautiful city of Halifax and the entire excursion was exciting and well worth my time and money. I would highly recommend this adventure!
Guides were great, length was perfect and process was organized! I recommend especially if you have a short period of time to enjoy the area. We were on a cruise and it worked out perfectly. A doable walk to the meeting place and less expensive than booking through the cruise line.
It was disappointing to have to walk over a mile to find the embarkation point and then have no address to verify if we were in the right place. We selected this trip because we thought it would be a good attraction for folks that require canes to walk - it was not. There are no taxis waiting in Halifax to take you anywhere. This was very disappointing.

Devin was a fantastic guide. He presented a great talk as we toured the sights by road and provided an entertaining and informative narrative. Then the water transition was a big splash and so much fun. This is a perfect family activity and affordable. Highly recommended. Dave, the driver, did a great job driving that huge boat on the roads.

Abby was very perky and made the ride enjoyable. They provided a lot of information about Halifax and touring the citadel was perfect. It was a rainy day, but they had the tarp on and they provided ponchos, so it wasn’t nearly as bad as I anticipated.
Well worth the money. Great tour of the city and bay. Driver and tour guide were great at their job. Friendly guide and talked to everyone to see if any questions.
Tour guide was young, eager and knowledgeable. It was a fun experience. So cool looking at the road leading to the water. Be prepared for a bumpy ride.
Perhaps more information on the city and places that we were passing. Overall it was very well done .

The tour was great as we're the driver and assistant, jeff and Paisley.
The one issue I have was not with the tour, but the parking. We were running late and the entrance we drove into had no marking for where to pay, or even that you had to pay. We ended up with a parking ticket which was not fun since we are from the US and I had to do a little work to get it paid. Another kiosk at the second entrance would be helpful.

My wife doesn’t like the feeling of stepping into boats so being able to climb into it and exiting from land was a huge plus

We had a great time on the Halifax Hopper with Hopperator Dave and Tour Guide Katie. Katie kept the tour fun, lively, and easy to follow, and Dave handled the ride smoothly from the streets into the water. It was a great mix of sightseeing, history, and humor without feeling too heavy. This would be especially good for families because it keeps everyone entertained while still showing off a lot of Halifax in a short time. Highly recommend for a fun, easy way to see the city.
