Great experience! Nice way to see the Halifax city with some historical details taught.
Then a tour of the harbour from the water.
Cool vehicle that drives on land and floats like a boat in the water.

It was a fun and informative tour. Make sure you take the 1145 tour! Staff was friendly also, just give yourself time to find parking in that area.

Excellent tour that is highly recommended if youre in halifax - we were lucky that we were on another tour earlier in the trip and the guide recommended checking out the Harbor Hopper tour. Captain Geoff and tour guide Abby were so funny and made for a great time

It was a nice experience but be aware it is a 20 minute walk feom the port. Dont bother getting a taxi they are rude but u can call a Uber. If u are unable to walk and it was cold bring a jacket. Now this 3xcusrion was fire

Fun!!! Highly Informative!! C&C (Cassie & Christie (2:15 TODAY, Sunday June 14th tour) excellent--tour guide/captain & driver!! The kids on the tour--old & young--wanted a big splash into water!! We got what we asked for!! WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF THE ADVENTURE, SITES & INFO.
Response from Host, Jun 2026

Did it on a cold and rainy day but still enjoyed. Staff were amazing and so nice to experience the city on the hopper. Would def recommend to travellers. Would suggest trying to do on a warm day as it gets very cold on the water if the weather is already cold makes a little less enjoyable.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're glad you still enjoyed your Harbour Hopper tour despite the chilly weather. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back on a warmer day!

The Harbour Hopper tour gave great views of the city and waterway. The only criticism was that the depth of the history and sights could have been better on this excursion.
Linda_R, Jun 2026
It’s a fun way to explore Halifax on land and sea. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Dress in layers the Harbour part of the tour can be chilly.
Sarah_C, May 2026
I did this and a longer walking history tour over a weekend in Halifax and I'd say this one, while more expensive, is more fun and unique and gets you all the same highlights, albeit fewer details. Fascinating to hear about the history of the area from local guide and Acadian & Africville descendant Tyler and fun to be on the water.
Response from Host, Jun 2026

Sit in the middle. The front you get wet and the back is loud and bumpy. It was interesting but not a must do. Very hard to hear the guides.
Response from Host, May 2026

Michelle_D, Oct 2025
Really cool experience, nice way to get views in the city and experience being out in the water. Great chatter from the guide!!
Lori_R, Oct 2025
Really fun experience! You get to see so many sights from the land/sea vehicle with an excellent tour guide! A must-do if you're visiting Halifax!
Diane_S, Oct 2025
It was interesting learning about the city of Halifax from land and from the sea. The driver and guide did a great job. The only improvement that I would suggest is to have more speakers on the vehicle. A lot of the time is was very difficult to hear/understand what was being said due to the noise of the vehicle.
Peggy_C, Oct 2025
A bunch of fun, amusing vehicle, unique experience. See the boardwalk from the water. Quick tour... just an hour. Well worth it
Tracy_B, Oct 2025
The ride on the vehicle was fun, especially on the water. Abigail and Dave were very friendly and Abigail was a great tour guide.
However, the sights that we saw were not that interesting for me, but i still enjoyed the tour. It is a shame that we couldnt be closer to land, when on the water, to get a better view of the pretty waterfront.
Amy_A, Oct 2025
Nice sight seeing of Halifax both by land and sea. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
junehoughton, Oct 2025

Both girls were great
We did this 2 years ago and enjoyed it so much we did it again .
Kenneth_R, Oct 2025
A great way to see a lot of the key sights of Halifax, both on land and in the waters of the harbor.
